KEY-BAK Original Retractable Key Holder with a Chrome Front, Steel Belt Clip, and a Split Ring

My other "kevlar" KEY-BAK broke and this is the one I replaced it with. It looks kinda old school, but it gets the job done. The heavy duty chain hasn't snapped off yet.

Ordered this key ring as I use a retractable key ring at work. I've been through many different ones with plastic or rope cord retraction. They've all broke. I remembered my dad having the key back one years ago with a steel chain so I ordered this to use. So far it seems great and durable. Hope it lasts for years to come!

Works as described, relatively sturdy, however, my only issue is how many keys you can actually place on this ring before the internal spring tension seems to falter. In my profession, I tend to carry a lot of keys, and I found that at around 15+ keys, the internal tension spring for retraction begins to falter. At around 20 standard sized keys, I found the retraction doesn't work as one would expect. The ring provided on device gives the false impression that it can hold many more keys, which it can, but gravity is stringer than the spring. I ended up only selecting my 10 most important keys that I use daily, and place the remainder on a separate key ring.

The outcome: With everyday use, this retractable keychain is still in excellent working condition.The way that I have used this: I have kept the circular part down in my shoulder bag, and I have used the pull chain for whichever key I've needed. The problem of setting keys down and losing them has been eliminated. I would need to lose my entire shoulder to ever mis-place a key. Or I would need to misplace and lose all of me. The construction of this item is excellent. Very solid. I have been pleased with this purchase.

Are used to have one of these when I was a gas station attendant as a teenager, unfortunately, mine broke after 20 something years. I found this replacement and it is identical to the previous one I had. You can’t put a ton of keys on it but I am back working at a gas station and it works beautifully for me because I never lose my keys.

Tbh this should definately be sold in retail across america. Had this product been any where i could have found it i would have known about it years ago.Im nearly 30 years old and if i had ever heard of these i could have easily used these since my teens. I literally only found out about these things because i was googling key managment devices that were retractables.My grandpa is getting old and forgets what he does with his keys. I got him this because it looked tough and wouldnt break no matter what he did with it. That and it uses a chain so he cant wear it out too fast. I have one too and its the best product ive ever owned for the price. Should i ever need anything for keys again forget everthing else. Just buy one of these. You will not be disapointted. Just make sure to weigh your keys lol. I shoulda got the slightly stronger one tbh

Works great for my needs better than a cable

Yes it’s not as long but those steel cable versions I’m replacing twice a year . Yes I’m using it for something other then keys but I’m actually putting less stress just more pills and the weak point on the steel cable version where the spring protects the plastic coating once it goes the cable Will Frey and they break .

It's about 2 inches in diameter. From all the reviews I read thought it was going to be big but it's not bad. Super sturdy only had it for a few days let's see how long it lasts.

Its good but if you put your keys in the pocket while you have this on your jeans, count with some pocket wear-out because the wire is pretty rough and tears the pocket edge with time. Still, a quality product and does what is should.

Excelente producto, lamentablemente el uso que yo le quería dar era para porta gafetes y es muy grande. Pero trae una excelente cadena resistente aguante muy bien el peso son empezar a caerse, y resiste impactos.

Preso per fare un regalo a mio padre per aiutarlo a non perdersi le chiavi. Devo dire che il portachiavi è solido e la catena altrettanto comoda, robusta e senza problemi ad estrarla e riporla. Molto soddisfatto della scelta fatta.
