Easy to figure out how to use .
It's a beautiful heavy grinder ! You will be getting a work out but that's okay ,this is how food was grounded up before electricity. Wheat berries will take 5-10 times through the grinder before you have it the right consistency of bread flour . I have it counter high so I'm not bending down and it turns quite easily.

Works perfectly! Happy customer!
I am editing my review after using the mill some more. I did a batch of mustard seeds soaked in vinegar. It didnt grind any better than dry seed. I discovered the grooves in the bottom stone were filled with compacted ground mustard making it smooth and slippery. I scrubbed the stones with a brass wire brush under scalding hot water. Since then, the mustard seeds grind perfectly and totally on the first pass through the mill. The bottom stone does not get compacted any more. Ive done three batches and the mill works flawlessly. I can grind a lot of mustard pretty quickly. Go to the hardware store to get the brass brush. Its the best way to scrub the groovrs clean, wet or dry. Im really pleased with this mill now. Prior review: I specifically bought this stone mill for grinding mustard seeds for my farmers market business expansion into condiments, dressings, and gourmet vinegars. It arrived safely this morning at the post office with nothing broken or missing. The mustard see.d's are tiny, and at first they just rolled through the mill without crushing. Once the stones had some ground in them, it began working great. Yes, I had to put the batch through 5 times before I was satisfied, but its the tiny size of the seeds, not that the mill is faulty. It amounted to a lot of ground mustard, tho. I have to hand stone grind my mustard to be consistent with my eco farm product philosophy. Once there is stuff in between the stones, the top stone rotates easily and quickly. The mill does not slide around on the table because its heavy. I'm not interested in grinding hard wheat for bread, so don't rely on the reviews saying this mill is tiring or hard to use. It depends entirely upon what you put in the mill to grind. The mill is beautifully crafted and polished and is a work of art. I am very happy and satisfied with it. It is worth the cost. The current discount coupon and payment options on my Amazon credit card made it attractive and affordable. For my purposes, this mill is a winner.

Unable to contact seller due to Amazon's error message
I tried contacting the seller to replace the wooden parts as the stand came broken given the grinder is so heavy. Also, the wooden handle is a bit loose, if we can get a replacement for that as well. But on attempting to contact seller Amazon kept giving same message"Since Amazon is handling the shipping for this order, you'll need to talk with an Amazon Customer Service Associate." And their associate had only one solution, refund on return. Which is ridiculous as I like the product, the seller is willing to contact me for free but the Amazon, is coming in between for no reason. I like the grinder, I just wish the seller will share the email in the user manual instead of making this process so hard.

I Still Cannot Figure Out This Grinder
This grinder is sitting in a corner of my kitchen because I still cannot get it to grind grains worth anything. I think I see why it was soooooo cheap the day I purchase it.

HUGE, but wife loves it
What we won't buy for love. The bread she makes with it tastes really great and it's healthier. Hope she uses it for years to make this big purchase worth the $...

A lot of work
I purchased the mill/grinder with the intention of grinding wheat. After about 5-6 feedings of the same wheat I was able to get the consistency I was looking for. I'm fairly strong for 60 and I gotta say I was pretty sore after my grinding workout. The stand came broken (one leg had both wooden dowels broken), but I'm a woodworker so it wasn't a big issue. I will continue to use it as it saves me money on a gym membership. My plan is to build a waste high stand so I can use my (225lb) frame to help with the grinding effort.

Looks cool- thats it!
Wheat Berry Grinding- Well...it will take a couple hrs to get a cup of flour. I had to epoxy the handle into the stone as it would just fall out. To grind the wheat by hand one would need a stone at least 2x as heavy. Granted, it's heavy solid granite, but you need something heavier to grind it only 2-3 times. I ended up grinding each batch 10-12 times and pushing down on the stone as I turned it.It works, but it may end up being a conversation pc instead of a tool we use on a regular basis.
