NOW Solutions Castor Oil, 100 % Pure, 16-Ounce

I am going to be 67 this month and I still have plenty of hair. I have soft and fine hair. I did notice that my hair was thinning but this is not the reason that I am using this product. My issue was dandruff. I had dandruff and it comes and goes. It gets bad when the weather is dry. My dandruff is gone after I use this Castor Oil. I just add this Castor Oil to my shampoo. The mixture is 15% to 20% Castor Oil and the rest shampoo. There is nothing extra I have to do, I just let my shampoo soaks on my hair a little longer when I shower. I also notice that I have less fallen hair on my shower floor. So, this probably helps my thinning hair but I could not verify this. Personally, I am happy that I just get rid of my dandruff. This is a bonus that if it helps my thinning hair.BTW Minoxidil does work for growing hair, a few of my friends got good results but when Minoxidil dries, it would become a fine power. So, this would be like dust on the hair. In my case, this adds to my dandruff issue.Update: I have been traveling and I changed my habit of premixing shampoo and castor oil as I rather take a small bottle of castor oil instead of a big bottle of shampoo. For the last few weeks, I have been putting regular shampoo on my hair and then add about half a tea spoon of castor oil to the hair. I would first rub the hair with the shampoo and then add the castor oil and rub it with the shampoo. I just noticed that when I combed back my hair, there is noticeable short fussy hair at my hairline. This is what I can see as they are at the edge, I have a feeling that I have these short hairs growing somewhere else on my head. I am pretty sure these are new growth as these are at different length with the surrounding hair.I was not able to verify that this castor oil grows hair but I can now. I use it for getting rid of my dandruff but this actually grows more hair.

Like-It is good to your skin. I had a lot of little mini bumps on my neck that was getting itchy. I used it once and the ictch was gone. I keep using it to get rid of the bumps, Also at the same time I smear some oil onto my brows and after about one month I noticed my brows are darker and getting more hair.Dislike- The oil has strong smell that's not a bad smell but not nice smell as in perfume. Good news is I don't smell it as much now. Maybe I am getting used to it or it lost the smell after openning the bottle many times. Earlier I bought the small 1oz. at the same prize because it's advertised as very good for skin. This little one went through a process that clarified it and it has a dropper for easy use. I did not find that it is better than the big bottle from another manufaturer. Therfore, my motto is Go Big.

I love this oil and use it every night on my eyes lashes before I go to bed. It’s part of my night time beauty regime. I also massage it into my scalp as well. It truly has helped with my lashes looking so thick the next day after I apply my mascara. I have done a test to see if it really makes a difference if I skip using it and it makes a huge difference! Also my hair has grown around my crown which is where I have been massaging it in nightly! It’s so economical and works wonders! One of those old time remedies that my grandma used to use not only on her scalp but she also took a spoonful daily. (FYI she lived to be 100) and I’m so glad that people are now going back to basics! Grandmas know best after all!

I brought this castor oil because I use it in my mixture for hair oil. I like this brand of oil. Also, it is hard for me to find another reasonable price castor oil. The others cost so much. I'm satisfied with my purchase. I will buy it again if there continue to be no other choices.

I wanted something to help the dryness in my hair and i also read that Castor Oil helps Hair to grow faster. It helps moisturize the cuticle in the scalp and grows faster. It's incredible!!! I can't believe how much thicker and longer my hair is in almost 2 months since i used this product. It's wonderful!! I have even had comments including my hairdresser tell me my hair looks healthy & longer..Even my own hairdresser learned about 'Castor Oil"..Bahaaaa, she uses it on some of her clients now that want longer hair faster and healthier!! This is also good for very dry skin, but i love it more for my hair. I put just a few drops into my shampoo when i wash and putt a heated towel around it for 10 minutes!! Love it!!

I used this to spray on my lawn to get rid of my mole problem. If you look at any mole products, ie; MoleX, the 1st ingredient is castor oil. So I mixed it in my sprayer with water, apprx 5:1. You have to apply this in sections to allow the moles to go in another direction. I used 3 applications in 3 days. ( ran out), seemed to work within a few days and 3wks later, the moles still are not in the area that was sprayed. Gonna order more .

I usually don't give reviews on Amazon, but I felt I had to on this. I have tried coconut oil, olive oil, gelatin, many, many commercial products (VO5, etc.) on my hair. Coconut oil was too greasy and I had to rub it between my hands to liquefy it. Olive oil worked great at first, but made my scalp break out and the commercial products had too many untrusted chemicals. I then read about Castor Oil on Mercola and tried it on a whim. So far it is the answer. Only been using it for several days but I like it the best of anything I've tried.

I love this oil. Goes on so smooth. I use it to massage my face. Love it
