This is a good looking cleaner that works so well that instead of being a quick light-duty cleaner for small vaccuming jobs as a back-up for the mains cleaner it is now the first choice cleaner and the mains cleaner is now in the garage. It is light weight and easy to manouvre. The LED lights at the front highlight any debris. It is easy to use on the stairs.The main motor suction unit is located low down for better balance and more efficient suction (doesn't have to suck the length of a long tube) and easily unclips into a hand-held unit. The rear of the handle on the main unit holds the extension tube that fits on the hand-held to make vaccuming the skirting boards and corners easy. My only critisism is that the extension tube requires both hands to unclip from the main unit, it is held too tightly. There is also another short extension nozzle for the hand-held that is clipped on to the charger base.The small dust container fills up after each use (proves that it works) and we empty it after each use by unclipping the container and it's filter for emptying. The motorised brush is also easily removed for cleaning.There is a slow speed setting that would preserve battery life but we never use it. The battery lasts long enough to clean all of our rooms, hard floors downstairs and carpets on the stairs and bedrooms. Of course the battery charge lights start off at 3 and drop to zero as the battery depletes. When the battery is really low the single battery light flashes to warn of low battery.Overall we are really pleased with this cleaner it cleans as well as it looks.

First off, I really like this vacuum. It is light, maneuverable, and works well on hard floor and carpets. It has an excellent run time. I like the fact that it breaks down really easily to operate as a hand-held vacuum, making it ideal for use on stairs and in carpets. It also has a wand for curtains and cob-webby ceilings. On the down side, the dust container is quite small and will need quite frequent emptying.My reason for only four stars relates mainly to our environment. We have two dogs, and this vacuum is nowhere near capable of dealing with the mess they create. As with all cordless vacuum, the power and capacity simply cannot match that of a corded machine.So for us, this is the perfect upstairs vacuum (where the dogs aren't allowed). In the respect I can clean both bedroom and the landing, empty the container once, then another session on the stairs. Job done quickly and pretty easily.I feel awkward about the four stars as I like the machine and I've no reason to doubt it's every bit as good as any other cordless. However, it's a long way short of being able to cope with the full challenge we have in our household.

Disappointed that it's made in China, when purchasing an AEG product I expect good quality. Disappointed with size of waste container have to empty after every hoover. OK for light hoovering, very light to move around and nice and easy to hold. Do not have stairs so cannot comment and haven't used the hand held unit yet

For reference, I've owned probably 4 different series of "Ergo Rapido" vacuum cleaners from AEG / Electrolux over the years.The new QX series is a massive improvement over the previous models (like the CX 7)!It's better built, has a more modern design, has a MUCH better filtration system, the handheld unit is held magnetically, and is quieter too. It's also MUCH easier to empty the bin compared to the old "cone" filter system that always got clogged very quickly.The battery life hasn't changed though: still 15min at full speed, just enough for a 2 bedroom house (45 min is for the handheld only mode!).It picks up more dust too thanks to the stronger suction, but it's a bit harder to move it on certain fluffier carpets. You can use the lower speed setting though, which is mostly designed for hard floors; it's lacking an intermediate setting probably.Also, rarely the attachment will drop from its recessed "receptacle" inside the handle, especially when having to push it hard on carpets (maybe the plastic handle flexes too much?).Still a great stick, elegant (especially in white) and well built, with a very useful charging base. A big step up compared to the aging CX series!

Absolutely loving my new hoover. This is the second AEG cordless I have purchased and this model beats my other one hands down in design, functionality and appearance. It’s permanently plugged in a corner of my kitchen as it looks good to have out on view as opposed to many other makes on the market. Suction is good both on hard floors and carpets and is so much easier to get out than my bagged Miele (which I use for a deeper clean on upstairs carpets. Love the lightness of this appliance and can’t recommend enough.

This item is as described, works well looks good, the suction is great battery last long enough for quick cleans but I keep on charge when not in use so it's always ready to go.My mum loves it to so guess I will be ordering one for her aswell.

Decided to buy another one and put myCurrent AEG upstairs. I loved my old one… this one has improved so much. So pleased I have bought it.
