Jarrow Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM, 240 Capsules

I have been dealing with moderate to severe back pain for about 7years now... I have been going to the chiropractor very regularly and was ready to give up and come to terms with the fact that I will have this pain for the rest of my life and it will most likely get worse:( I started taking these less than a week ago and on the 3rd day I woke up and was in literal disbelief of just how good my back felt, it brought me to tears! I felt a huge weight lifting off of me and hope that I could have pain free days once again, I gave been so much happier and had a boost in energy levels because I have so much less pain!! Sleep has improved as well. I couldn’t recommend these more and I will be using probably for the rest of my life now! When I bought these I thought I did not have any joint issues. I think I was wrong. I began squatting again in May of 2013. I hate squats but I like to be overall fit vs just portions of my body. Squats hit a lot of muscle groups. So I do them. My left knee would hurt afterward. Nothing too terrible but definitely noticeable. I realized years ago that when I get out of my car I put a larger portion of my 205 pounds on my left knee which results in very slight pain from time to time so I thought nothing of it. I bought this product more so for maintenance than cures. I've been taking this product for about a week. I did squats today and my knees actually felt better so I decided to push some additional weight today. My knees held their ground. They do have a very dull pain as I type this review. Considering the additional weight I pushed I expected to have a sharper pain typically on the left side of my left knee but it is more of a very dull pain around the general area of both knees which I would have expected to feel 20 years ago. This product is not a miracle cure nor snake oil. It simply performs as advertised. Nothing more and nothing less. Any product that does what the manufacturer claims it can do will always get at least four stars from me. I chose to up the rating to five stars due to the quick results I received. I hate getting old but it sure does beat the alternative. lol. Thanks to supplements such as these I can maintain a better level of fitness which adds to my quality of life. I also highly recommend supplementing with Taurine and with LongJack 200:1. LongJack has taken my body and stamina back in time (about 10 years). Taurine is literarily a miracle in a bottle and it costs so little to purchase. Research Taurine if you are over 35 to see exactly what it is and all of the published studies proving exactly what it can do for you. There are too many benefits to list. Every human being over 40 should be taking Taurine. BTW, LongJack does not help you produce testosterone. It creates more free testosterone that has already been produced in your body. Captured (or bonded) testosterone doesn't appear to perform it's job. It mainly takes up space in your blood stream (compared to free T). LongJack prevents more of your T from getting captured (bonding). In a week or two you will absolutely know it is working for you if you are 35 or older. I knew the very first day and this is absolutely true. Now, back to this product... ABOUT THE FOUR PILL DOSAGE (it's a good thing vs a drawback and here is why) Far too often people assume that they have to have the entire suggested daily dose of something to work for them. Actually, the wise approach is to seek the lowest dose that will work for you. So where it suggests four pills per day for 1500mg I hope many people will eventually be able to drop down to only taking one or two pills at 375 mg or 750mg to get the results they need. Saves you money but more importantly it potentially means less stress on your digestive system, liver, and kidneys to filter out the overage. Rather than being stuck with only two daily options now you have four. Those four daily options are; 1500mg (4 pills), 1125mg (3pills), 750mg (2 pills), and 375mg (1 pill). As a 48 year old male with what feels like good joints I plan to start off with 3 pills the first week, and then 2 pills from then on. Since I have no symptoms I see no need to start at the full dose. I may even experiment with only takin 1 pill a day. In a decade I may eventually have to increase to the full dosage. So now consider taking 1500mg for the first week or two followed by 1125mg for two weeks followed by 750mg for two weeks and then only 375mg OR 750mg per day from that point forward just to maintain the levels you achieved during the first four to six weeks. If your issues decreased after four to six weeks from the higher dose then return later on the lower dose (let's say at 375mg), I consider going back to 1500 mg for a few days until the issue decreases again then trying 750mg per day to see if that works. The goal is to find the lowest dosage that produces the same result rather than assuming you need the full dose every day. Thanks to these being in four 375mg dose pills you can better customize the right amount for you. 1500mg per day is a maximum value. Most people will not need to consume the maximum value to maintain their level of comfort. So now you can save money because the bottle lasts longer AND you also reduce the amount of additional daily stress on your digestive system, (and possibly) your liver, and kidneys. So people who complain about four pills for the maximum dose may not have thought about the actual benefit for their wallet and their digestive system this four pill format offers. One size (dose) never fits all. I hope this product (or one like it) delivers for you like I has for me.

Serving size is four capsules to get the full benefit, and they are fairly large. I take them separately in the morning, most days, and have done this for several decades. When I do this consistently I have very little joint pain, which seems remarkable, since I am 86 years old and have severe lumbar stenosis and several collapsed disks in my neck (2 as of 40 years ago, and 4 currently). My chiropractor all those ages ago said he didn’t know why I wasn’t in constant, unremitting pain. Regular chiropractic is part of the answer, but I swear by these pills. I also do neck-stretching and strengthening exercises, and swing kettlebells to strengthen my “posterior chain” — a shout out to my sweetie, who got me started on kettlebells 4 years ago when my low back bothered me so much I couldn’t walk more than half a block before needing to stop and bend over a few times. No more!! I have not needed any surgery on my neck or back in all this time — a small miracle, I’m thinking.

I take a goodly number of supplements from this company and am happy with the quality of them. I have arthritis in one of my knees and take a few different supplements to prevent it from getting worse. I think that what one brand doesn't have in it, another will. I am feeling less pain and so whatever I am taking, this product included, is doing a good job. My only annoyance with these is that you have to take four at once.

I have been using Jarrow Brand since about 1998 and they have great products. I have severe back pain and other pains and aches from years of gymnastics, wrestling, lifting weights, construction work, and age LOL, I am 56 going on 57. I have taken glucosamine and msm before back in 2004 but stopped because I take so many things and I like to cycle products and occasionally take breaks. My back pain has started to get worse a few months back so decided to start on this product '' Jarrow Glucosamine/Chondroitin/Msm plus I take Bone Up, Hyaluronic acid, Collagen, DHA/EPA and others all by JARROW. When I wake up my pain is the worse especially if I go to the gym the night before which I do 3 times a week and have so for many years. When I wake up in the morning I am like a ZOMBIE! I first take coffee with a Green tea capsule, two milk thistles, Ginger capsule, and Mucuna DOPA. On second cup of coffee I take 3 grams of Kratom, BioPerine, and Curcumin. I cycle different strains of Kratom and never use the same strain two mornings in a row and I go with a "Fast Strain". I like to use Jarrow brand anytime I can because I know it is a quality company, I hope all this info really helps someone!

It’s hard to review supplements because do we know if they are really effective? Who knows? What I can tell you is that I’m 54 and I run a lot. Like, a lot. I also do yoga, lift weights, ride my bike daily and I teach spin. I’ve been taking Jarrow Glucosamine + chondroitin +MSM for years and my joints are in excellent condition. They don’t hurt or crack or pop. Is it the supplement that keeps my joints in such good shape? I can’t tell you for sure that it is, but I do believe this supplement helps.

Others have said it started working within 24 hours. This is true... IF it is going to work at all. I've been using this for about ten years now and overall it has helped immensely with my knees and back pain. BUT it doesn't always work. Over that time I have noticed that one of about five or six bottles do not have any effect whatsoever. When you get a batch that works, it will work in 24 hours but when you get a batch that doesn't work you will know that withing 24 hours as well. I have tried 3 or 4 other brands with mixed results so I keep buying Jarrow despite its inconsistency but since it now costs 100% more than it did just 4 years ago I will start investigating other brands. Inflation has never been 25% per year. Ever.

First of all Jarrow Products are Excellent. This product , felt some of the capsules might be leaking white powder...since there was a mild white residue on my hands...makes me wonder
