Worked great, easy to use
I used this in hard granite and it was easy to start, cut fast and easy, and did a nice clean job. I used the EVA foam guide with some water and it worked well. I was dreading drilling this hole, but it only took 1-2 minutes to cut through 3/4" slab. I only needed one hole so I can't vouch for how long it will last, but based on how fast and easy it was I expect it to be durable.

Great tool if you use it right
Works great, just do your research if your not experienced in using this type of hole saw. I built a wooden box with scrap lumber to fill up with water and drill out my tiles. Keep your rpms low and start at an angle to get a groove going and be patient.

Bought to Make One Cut - Success!
Drilax 3” Diamond Hole Saw - Bought this to cut one hole through a 1” granite slab and it did the job. As many others have mentioned, it’s critical to keep the cutting surface wet and run the drill at a very low rpm. I was working with a small piece and was able to place it into a shallow basin with the water level just even with the top of the work surface so the saw was constantly submerged, but building a dam with plumbers putty as others have mentioned would be the way to go for a larger piece where complete submersion isn’t possible. As an aside, it is possible to saw through wood with this. I cut a hole in my vanity’s 3/4” bamboo counter top with this to reduce splintering that occurs at the start of a cut. Even more so than with stone and tile, it’s critical to run your drill slowly to avoid heat build-up as you don’t have the cooling benefit of water. I actually ran my shop vac right next to the bit to provide a bit of air cooling; just like an old VW Beetle!

The it does cut good but for 19
So this bit cut very well, The reason I am giving it three stars, is it does not co me with a pilot bit. This means that you have to tilt the bit on an angle and drill very slowly to keep the bit from hopping around.. This means most people who don't use tools a lot will struggle to get a hole started where they want it drilled at. The it does cut good but for 19.99 not having the pilot bit kills the purchase. Be sure to look for a diamond hole saw we with a center drill bit/pilot bit. It will make things so much better. The shipping that was provided also was packaged nicely
