Cubavera Men's Drawstring Linen-Blend Pants (Available in Big & Tall)

I'm planning a Caribbean vacation and need some "dress" pants for evening wear. These pants were the best option, at least "on paper." Based on other user reviews, it seemed like these were decent quality at a good price, so I took the plunge and ordered two pair; Natural and Black. My main concern was inseam length. I usually wear 44 (W) x 34 (L) jeans. I was somewhat concerned about the waist but greatly concerned about the length, as usually when pants are sized with "L," "XL," "XXL" they typically are tailored for men with 28 - 30 inch inseam. While I am planning on visiting a tropical island, I wasn't too happy about the thought of wearing "high waters." I'm very happy to report that the XXL size of these pants fit nicely. The waist still has room in the elastic to move and sit without fear of splitting a seam. The length is pretty good for my normal 34 inch inseam, dropping just across the tops of my feet. I should have no issues (and by "issues" I mean mocking stares, points-and-laughs, or snickering at the length of my trousers) while wearing flip-flops. I do not think these pants are long enough on me to wear comfortably with dress shoes or any shoe with a heel. However, if your inseam is shorter then you may be able to get away with different shoe choices. The material of these pants is light and thin, which can be both good and bad. The good: I bought these for vacation on a tropical island where humidity and temps are almost always high. The material is plenty breathable, light and thin, allowing maximum airflow and wicking. I shouldn't have any issues with backside "sweat spots" after sitting for dinner, or if I happen to lounge in a pool-side chaise with some water spray on the surface. The bad: The Natural color pants are thin enough that I need to be cautious of what color undergarment I wear underneath. Any undergarment that's way darker or lighter than your natural flesh tone can be seen "through" the pant material. The same goes for garments that are brightly colored or have bold patterns. So try to avoid wearing your sparkly Superman undies with the Natural pants. Same holds true, even more so, for the White pants. Guys - Take a fashion tip from the ladies: Your undergarment should match or be close to your flesh tone, NOT the pants, when wearing thin, light or white pants. You're welcome.

I work in an office environment that has a casual dress code. Up until getting this, I normally wore jeans to work. I hate jeans and, honestly, hate anything that requires a belt, so I started looking for something that had drawstring. I didn't even know if nice pants that used drawstrings (read: non-sweatpants) even existed. I saw these, they looked nice, and were half-off, so I had to give them a try. When I put them on, I was beyond surprised at how good they were. I'm a tall guy, so I didn't know if the inseam would be long enough, but I also didn't want to get too large a waist since my waist is pretty small considering my height. Apprently, I lucked out when I ordered the XL and the length AND waist were perfect. Had I designed the pant myself, I couldn't have made them fit better. (The sizing chart is dead on.) Not only was the fit great, though, the material far exceeded what I was expecting. It's very light, so don't expect it to work well as a wind-breaker; however, the material is very soft and incredibly comfortable. Since it does have some stretch to it, there is NO constriction, unlike jeans and many dress pants. The waist also some pull to it (elastic, I would imagine), so I don't necessarily even need the drawstring, but I use it any way just in case. Lastly, i love the look of them. I have a few pairs of dress pants I use for special occassions... and I might be ditching them for these. All right, that might be a stretch, but I could easily see myself using these as part of an overall dressed-up attire. A+ all around.

It was REALLY hard to find pants like these, light-weight, linen, drawstring, comfortable in a 30 inch inseam... manufacturers seem to think that everyone has 32 inch inseam or more, and those are too long for my short stubby legs. 30 is perfect. The waist fits correctly, my only complaint is that the 30 inch inseam actually seems about 1/2 to 1 inch too short. Next time, I may get a 32 and just hem them in an inch. Other than that, these are airy, comfortable and perfect travel pants for men. Because they're black, they don't show dirt or stains (when, for example, you accidentally spill a glass of red wine on your lap during turbulence). They feel very light, very breathable, very comfortable (until you're standing outside the airport and a cold wind is blowing). All in all, for the price, these are superb and I will definitely buy a second pair.

BEFORE YOU BUY: This product is made out of linen and viscose. Translation: it isn't a question of if this will wrinkle but when it will wrinkle. Lets face it amazon shoppers, This product WILL wrinkle and you may need to iron the pants if it is for a formal occasion or if it is for leisure then I am sure no one will care if there is a wrinkle in it. These pants are the most comfortable pants I have ever worn and highly breathable; they are loose around the legs for breathability and airflow. Furthermore, these parents also have a elastic waist band and a draw string but no belt loops (this is a good thing). The fabric is light weight and simply extremely comfortable. I highly recommend buying as I bought 3 pairs for work and evenings out. !!!!! READ BEFORE YOU WASH !!!!! My pant size is a 34:29. I ordered a 34:30 (medium) and the pant length was really long almost to a ~33 length. Cubavera did this on purpose because linen viscose blend does shrink in length!! After washing the pants, the pants came out to a perfect 30 length which was still a little long for my pant size but these are not dressy business pants. if you want to preserve these pants and wash them the right way, wash these pants in COLD water on a delicate cycle (no second rinse). You can use fabric softener and laundry detergent. After washing these pants in cold water on delicate cycle, do not stick these in the dryer. hang these pants outside to dry, checking on them ever 15-20 minutes or so. I commonly do not write reviews on amazon however, after seeing quite a few comments complaints about wrinkling and ironing as well as shrinking, I felt obligated to write this to help you, buyer, so that you will get the most out of your money. Soo many people look at reviews before buying a product on amazon and I hope this review will help the buyer to feel more comfortable about making this purchase. I hope all turns out well for ya!

I bought these pants for an upcoming Caribbean cruise. I was a little apprehensive because some of the reviews brought up issues with them shrinking too much but with proper "break in", I didn't have any issues. Being linen, one should expect some shrinkage an the first wash and these pants are no exception. Here's the deal; order them understanding you will need time to wash, hang dry and iron them before you wear them. I normally wear a 36X30 pants so I ordered the XLX32. As soon as they arrived, I washed them in cold water with a cold rinse then hung them from the waistband and let them dry in my closet for a couple of days. They fit almost perfect! The waist is still a little larger than I would like in order to call them actually perfect but with the drawstring, they're close enough. The legs fit is amazing though. I gave them 5 stars vs 4 stars because the waist fit was my gamble and not due to an issue with the quality of the pants and they were exactly what I wanted and exactly what I expected. If you're a lose 36 waist, you may want to consider the L vs the XL. Most definitely though, try to order 2 inches taller in the inseam than what you normally wear. They WILL shrink. DO NOT PUT THESE IN THE DRYER... EVER!!!! Highly recommended for those hot summer days on the beach or by the pool.

UPDATE: These shrunk about 2” in length after being washed in cold and dried in low temperatures. Super disappointed because I he wanted to love these! The waist was great and the fit was amazing until washed and dried lightly ONE TIME! Please purchase them in a longer size than you typically wear. You will love them then! We purchased these to replace a much more expensive brand that ripped after 1 round in the washer/dryer. They’re about $30 less expensive than the other well known brand and the fit is WAY better. These look neater and nicer on. And you can pick the length on them. They still have a bit of stretch for comfort as well. They’re a bit thicker than I was expecting but that’s ok too because they’re less see through. All good points for me on quality! These are totally worth the $50 or whatever if you’re looking for comfort and quality both!

These are excellent pants. I used to own a couple pairs of linen pants that I wore and eventually wore out. These are very similar to those and exactly what I was looking for. I live in AZ, so pants that are cool are a must - especially in the summer when shorts aren't appropriate but you still need to be comfortable and casual. They fit as expected, I'm a big guy and a tall guy, but with a much shorter in-seam. These pants were easily hemmed and look great. The pockets are a good size and are pretty discrete actually if you don't put anything in them. The back pockets are nice as well. Overall, a very casual but fashionable pair of linen pants. They feel good, look great, and are the right price. Oh, and I washed them immediately in warm water to prevent any accidents in the future and any shrinking. They stayed the same size.

CAUTION AND BUYER BEWARE! PANTS SHRINK! Initially I had ordered an XL for my 6'3" husband. They turned out to be too long and too baggy in the thighs. I was able to exchange them for a L. Due to time constraints prior to our trip I did not wash them. They were received in clean condition and pressed correctly. He wore them twice and did mention they were comfortable. Upon returning from our vacation, I washed them as per the directions on the clothing tag. When I washed it, I included it with some UnTuck It linen shirts my husband has. I washed on a delicate cycle with cold water. To my surprise, when I pulled them out of the washer these linen pants shrunk in length! I am 5'2" and it could of fit my height! How in the world do this linen combo pants shrink? His 100% UnTuckIt Linen shirt was in perfect condition. It did not shrink at all. I find this brand and material to be abysmal. I purchased based off the good reviews but apparently I received the one defective pants Refunds should be given due to the horrible material and shrinkage! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE PANTS TO ANYONE! I should of spent the extra money on real linen pants instead of wasting my money on these awful ones.

Son de buena calidad, muy frescos aun en climas sumamente calidos, el corte es amplio en piernas, el ajuste a la cintura es perfecto pero aun asi tiene elastico. Lo compre en tres colores, tengo un año de usarlos y no se han decolorado ni maltratado la tela.

bought 7 of these for wedding party and can't say enough good things, fit perfect, amazing quality, not see through as most are, length awesome - some shorter men may require hemming but otherwise an excellent purchase and excellent fit well worth the price. We like the ivory/white color - was not looking for pure white
