Great toddler must have for travel
The perfect travel must have if you have toddlers! We have used it for international and domestic travel for 3 years and it was held up so well! Has additional storage on top of the pack!

BROKEN WITHIN WEEKS, NOT WORTH IT
NOVELTY ITEM AT BEST. We purchased this bundle for a summer trip to Europe (traveling via airplane and train); easily the worst purchase we ever made! While the BedBox function did help our 5-year-old sleep comfortably on the plane, it does not function well as a piece of luggage (which is what it is primarily supposed to be). First of all, IT'S NOT EVEN WATERPROOF. The holes on the top of the suitcase where the rods for the top compartment/lid slot in and out let rain in! How in God's name did no one in production or testing figure out that PEOPLE NEED TO TRAVEL IN ALL KINDS OF WEATHER?! I'm not going to be paying hundreds of dollars for a suitcase that lets my child's clothes and items get wet. Secondly, the walls of the suitcase are flimsy plastic and when you try to pack it tightly, the sides bow out and don't line up with the lid, so then rain gets in through those holes as well!! The rolling function is smooth (at first) but barely made it 4 weeks before the rubber circlets on the wheels were frayed/worn thin and coming off! Once that happens, just pulling the suitcase (without a child on it) was like doing resistance training. In addition, any time there was an incline or barely bumpy surface, the balance for the entire thing was gone and my son (a skinny 5-year-old) lost his balance and fell off a few times. Just for that, I wouldn't recommend it (unless you only travel in places that have smooth floors and don't have people crowding around or rushing past you). There was a large crack in the front of the suitcase next to the front wheels within weeks, I'm assuming from rolling over/catching on uneven surfaces. But again, why would you design a suitcase with wheels that isn't capable of rolling over all kinds of flooring?! Beyond that, the carry options for the case are not designed for comfort or ease of use. The suitcase itself is extremely bulky for carrying on an adult's shoulder (as shown in instructions), and the strap itself is made of thin material that immediately rolls/folds onto itself, making it dig into your shoulders and leaving you with burns/indentations within minutes. The suitcase also isn't balanced well in this option either, so you're frequently having it slip/fall off and then you need to stop to readjust (a nightmare when trying to get anywhere on time with children). The backpack functioned well for our son and we found the adjustable size (unzip a section and it unfolds and gets longer) very useful. But at this price point, considering the majority of the bundle is the BedBox suitcase, it's absolutely not worth it and a horrible investment. And before anyone assumes anything, our child is well within the age and weight parameters that Stokke claims this item is intended for. We used it on 1 intercontinental plane ride and 6 train rides (across a span of 5 weeks) before it started coming apart, and it lasted a grand total of 1 more train ride before a wheel broke off. NOT suitable as actual luggage, AT ALL.

Smooth ride, fun for kids and happy parents
Travelled to Asia with 3 kids and they had so much fun with this luggage. My younger two (6 years old and a year old) rode on it together and it supported their weight. The ride is smooth. We used it more as a foot rest during a 16 hour flight for my oldest (9 year old) as the toddler laid on my lap. I chose not to use their cushions for the seat because I have a more compact one. The backpack that came with it is very small, so I didn’t use that either. I just packed the diapers and change of clothes and some headphones. The five star rating is solely for the luggage itself.

Great but several design issues…
Excellent ride-on suitcase that brings joy to my daughter and to me for convenience. Four stars though because it should have wider foot rests (retractable or something) and a backrest - like why can’t there be a handle that comes up from the back and functions as a back rest for my child while I am pulling this? Also what were they thinking in making the ‘leash’ strap light beige? It’s filthy after one use and I am not strong enough to unhook it to wash it - the latch is tightly closed. Lastly the leash/pull strap is slightly too long so we get separated in the terminal if I am to pull it with full strength. Also once when I was turning, my daughter fell off - because the strap was too long to make a tight turn. Practice with your kid before using. Also be aware that the inside compartment is very small. I also didn’t use the ‘mattress’ which is useless and takes up too much room in the narrow compartment inside the suitcase so that part doesn’t travel with us anymore. That said every parent and child comes over to ask us where we got this. But - For this kind of money these design flaws shouldn’t exist! I hope they read my review!

Your kid will love it! And you won’t have to carry them!
Very nice product. Well built. My daughter loves riding on it. Rolls well and is easy to control ina. Busy airport. Will buy another when my son gets bigger. Downside is that it doesn’t hold all that much given its size especially if you have the pad in it. But the backpack can attach to it and that helps to carry more stuff.

Best for toddlers!
We recently took this on a trip with our 3 year old and it was amazing! I debated between the Trunki or this one and was hesitant as the Stokke is 2x the price of the Trunki. I knew Stokke usually has great quality so I trusted my gut and went with this one. I’m so glad I did. It proofed to be very sturdy. My toddler loved to be pulled on it through the airport. On the 7hr plane ride we set up the bed and it was perfect. My kid was able to sleep for hours laying down. I’m not sure how it will work for older kiddos but I can see this work amazing for up to 5 years old. The storage was ideal for all the snacks and coloring books my toddler needed. Would totally recommend!

Useful but cheaply made
This was a life saver on about three transatlantic trips, but then it broke. It’s made of very cheap plastic. I wish we could keep using it for longer. Given the price, the lack of durability is very disappointing.

Completely Useless after Four Days
When we were preparing for an upcoming two weeks vacation, the Stokke Kid's Ride-On Suitcase & In-Flight Bed seemed like a great idea for our five year old. It would allow us to move more quickly through airports and train stations since we could either pull him or he could pull his suitcase himself. Plus it would provide an option for him to be able to curl up and sleep more comfortably on planes and trains and most importantly, it would allow him to carry his own toys, books, paper and similar, freeing up valuable luggage space and lessening the weight that the parents had to carry. Note the words "seemed like a great idea" above. On the first day, the five year old was opening the lid and the entire button depressing mechanism on one side broke out of the plastic housing. This made it impossible to actually close the lid since it now only was held on to the top of the suitcase on one side, not both. Luckily we travel with some random straps so were able to at least work around this issue. On the third day, the five year old was being pulled through a train station when one of the wheels broke off. The suitcase does not have an axle; it instead has some molded plastic on each side that is the housing for the wheels to connect into. Based on the wear pattern in the photo, the wheel first was damaged as it was digging into the plastic before eventually breaking completely to the point we could no longer roll the suitcase. Again, he is five years old and weighs 45 lbs/20 kg. The product is rated for 3-7 years old and he is a small-normal sized five year old. He had ridden on the suitcase for maybe two hours at this point, before it became useless. On the fourth day, three of the four screws that hold the lid sliding mechanism in place ripped out, rendering it incapable of being transformed into a bed. It is worth noting that we were not even using the lid sliding mechanism at the time. I opened the case to get out some toys and part of the lid was hanging off on the inside. At this point we stopped using the Stokke Kid's Ride-On Suitcase & In-Flight Bed as anything other than an awkward bag that the parents had to carry around. It failed as a Suitcase. It failed as a Ride-On and it now would fail as an In-Flight Bed if we tried to use it. We honestly would have been better off just chucking it into the trash and buying a cheap duffel bag rather than continuing to carry it around; at least a duffel is easier to carry. Unfortunately for us, we purchased the product about two months before we travelled, so the return window had expired before we even used it. For any future purchasers, please make sure you take it out for a few trial runs before actually going on a trip so you don't end up with the same hassle that we had. For us, attempting to use the Stokke Kid's Ride-On Suitcase & In-Flight Bed for an actual vacation was not worth the hassle and frustration since the product broke in so many different ways in such a short time of using it.

Recomendado

Great idea but very limited usage…
While my daughter loved the idea of dressing up her cool rolling suitcase with stickers and pack it with her essentials (teddy bear and dolls), it’s extremely limited in its use, and I highly recommend not buying it. Otherwise, you’ll be disappointed and forced to lug the thing around in transit until you return home. Why? Lots of airlines, and more to come, ban the use of this thing. The rules seem to change frequently, which means it’s hard to plan a trip and feel confident you can bring it with you. Based on this plus the price… I’d say that’s just not worth it to me.
