These tights have earned their name
OMG! I could hardly breathe, and if you're petite, take a hard pass. Other than that they're wonderful, lol!

High quality. Very compressing
The size out of the box is shocking. It looks very very small. The legging is very compressing. It stretches well and stays opaque. Size is good and the quality is high. Still holding fine even after several washes.

A real dream come true! Heavenly comfort beyond belief!
I'm recovering from knee surgery, and controlling swelling is important. Being comfortable when I bend and flex in physical therapy is important. I tried a dozen different stockings or leggings with graduated compression. I found this brand to be a thousand times more comfortable than any other brand. While other brands were rough, scratchy, and painfully binding, this pair was silky smooth and non-irritating to my healing sutures. They looked classy paired with my skirts. They fit well under by base pants and jeans when winter hit. When I bent and stretched during physical therapy, the fabric moved with me instead of rubbing back and forth over top of my stitches. They're comfortable enough, that one can sleep in them all night long. If you're overweight, you might want to go up a size. I was pleased with the fact that they fit high on my waist. If you need some mild, graduated compression, there is nothing more comfortable than these on the market. I would recommend them for BOTH guys and gals. Seriously, I met many elderly men recovering from knee surgery that would have given a hundred dollars or more for graduated stockings that were comfortable. I can NOT believe how inexpensive these are compared to the awful ones that I paid so much money for. Great fit and cheap. Wow!

Not compression. Basically regular pantyhose/tights.
I was hoping these would be comparable to the Spanx brand graduated compression tights, but they are definitely not. The Spanx ones tell you the amount of compression they provide, these don't. I did not expect them to be medical grade compression - and they do not claim to be - however, there is next to NO compression, so it seems like false advertising. These work as a decent pair of footless tights, but if you need actual compression - let alone medical grade compression, save up for the real thing.

Worse than any bad review
... I mean - outrageously worse. I am size eight, 5'9", but ordered XL (based on the reviews). It was obvious right out of the package that the top of the tights is smaller than size zero. Just out of sheer principle I decided to try them on. Good news: the leg part is very stretchy in length and width. But, here's the problem: once I managed to pull the tights up just one leg - the waist band was cutting into the top of my thigh in a very painful way. The waist band of XL item was too tight to fit around one thigh of a woman size eight! Ouch! I rest my case. P.S. oh, yes: it smelled bad, too. Like a bad chemical dye.
