Works perfectly for my Trex composite deck and Solo Stove. As you can understand, I was wary about using my Solo Stove Bonfire 2.0 on my new Trex deck. But as you can see from the pictures, the Fireproof Pros 36" Fire Pit Protector did an amazing job protecting my deck. As you can see, I put the Solo Stove on a stand (sold by Amazon also: Firepit Stand by CANDANA). There is some soot from the occasional spark that flew, but overall, the deck is in great shape. The Solo Stove shield is necessary for users, as the sparks are crazy. The Solo Stove doesn't kick any heat underneath, but this 36-inch fire mat protector was just extra insurance. It gave me peace of mind to ensure no damage to my deck. Great buy!

I hardly ever write reviews but honestly the quality of this mat is exceptional. The color matches my fire pit perfectly as well. Super satisfied with this product. Would definitely buy again and would definitely recommend it to anyone considering it.

I've read reviews about other cheap ones not working very well, this one works great! It's a little more expensive than some, but this is certainly one of those things where you get what you pay for! We've had a few raging fire pits going now, and on some super dry grass, there's not a spot to be found!

I’ve now used this a few times with my solo stove and it works great. Heat does not penetrate through the mat. I’ve used this on concrete and on grass and there have been zero discoloration or burns on the ground. I do wish the underside was better reinforced. I had some buddies relocate my firepit using the mat which caused a couple rippes. It still works perfect and I plan to buy another one just in case.

I was rather skeptical of this product, but my kids were begging me to have a fire in the fire pit, so I bought it and gave it a go. We built a new house a year ago, and I labored and paid some exceptionally high water bills to get a good lawn to come in. I was very nervous about my fire pit killing the grass underneath it, but I rolled the dice and had a fire. I gotta say, this mat totally came through. I was sitting in my camping chair cringing as my two pyro sons gleefully piled wood onto an already roaring fire. When I went out the next morning to clean up, I was thrilled when I pulled up the mat and saw nothing but perfectly green, NUdamaged grass underneath. I wiped the ash off the mat, folded it up, and put it back in the bag. Now that I know it works so well, I can enjoy more fires stress free. Great product.

Definitely the best way to stay safe. The way this is layered is perfect. The fiber glass is stuffed into the middle of a durable waterproof layer on one side and a impenetrable aluminum layer on the other which makes it not only burn proof but also safe to use with your bare hands. Getting fiberglass on your hands sucks. 6/5 for this one

This have worked well to protect a stained concrete patio. The cover does have some "burn" marks that di not seem to come out from some embers. But very happy for the price

Great product, shocked how well made this was considering the low price point and the fact I found it on Amazon. I have a 58,000 BTU Outland Mega propane firebowl that we use while camping Durring fire bans but also wanted to enjoy it on our deck without damaging the wood, this fireplace is of higher BTU then most propane firebowls so I was a little worried, but space is also limited and I enjoy portability so I was intrigued by the design of this fire mat. Expectations were met and exceeded, I expected the mat to be much harder to fold up after use but it is surprisingly very easy and thin for the job it does. Would definitely recommend this 10/10, hopefully the sewing lasts but at first signs of an issue I'll report back and get my local seamstress to re enforce it.

Je trouvais l'idée bonne surtout pour nous puisque le feu n'est pas installé en permanence nous le sortons occasionnellement donc nous ne voulions pas faire de dalle inutilement. Le concept est bon mais après avoir fait un feu pendant 3 heures le gazon n'est plus vraiment vert. Il offre donc une petite protection évidemment il a été plus facile a redevenir vert et nous n'étions pas inquiet pour les tisons de feu. Je n'ai pas essayer sur la terrasse ou sur du béton à voir !

I've used this fire mat twice during the summer and it works really well. The grass under my fire pit was already brown and very dry (we had a campfire ban all summer because of drought conditions). Fire pits are allowed, but I was apprehensive. Both times this mat performed as expected and as advertised. When I turned off the fire pit, I checked the ground under the mat and it wasn't hot or warm. It folds up easily into the carry bag after use. I highly recommend this fire mat when camping with a fire pit
