This just plain works well. I've had a few cheap corkscrews in my time that were adequate. And unless you're opening LOTS of bottles, face it, you don't need a fancy corkscrew. But if you'd like a corkscrew that's durable, works well and looks good, splurge and get this for about the same as a decent bottle of wine.

I work as a server, so this is one of my tools of trade. I’ve had loads of different wine knives, but this is easily the best. It’s comfortable in the hand, inserts into a cork without effort and pulls out smoothly. I’m a small person, without much muscle power, but this makes it simple.

Close tolerance fit on all pivots,coated screw works excellently, soft touch handle BIG plus! Tips: Make sure the screw is centered in the cork(most important)also when looking to purchase any remover tool consider the size of your hand, this particular remover is best suited for small to medium hands in my opinion.
