Merry Fishmas!
I love this album and wish it were released in vinyl, but I can see why it was an EP Online release only. Happy Skalidays is genuinely a new favorite holiday album for me. It's high energy, fun, and a style that only the beloved ska bank Reel Big Fish can pull off. Why do they rock so hard? Here's a quick overview of all six tracks:1- Skank for Christmas (ORIGINAL. Genre: Ska. Fast paced and funny. Based on the name of the ska dance and filled with holiday references and cheer. Yes, it does make you want to skank.)2- Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer (Cover. Genre: Ska/Punk Rock. A good cover of the song we all know; it is fast and heavy on the guitar. Poor ol' granny.)3- Lickle Drummond Bwoy (Cover. Instrumental. Genre: Ska. This is a liberal cover of Little Drummer Boy, in ska style and with no lyrics. It definitely has the RBF flare, and kind of reminds me of Big Band lounge music- in the best way possible!)4- Whatever U Celebrate (ORIGINAL. Genre: Ska. The "Happy EVERYTHING" song that manages not to be annoyingly PC. It's cheery and laid back, a great song for, well, whatever you...)5- Carol of the Beers (Cover. Genre: Acapella, accompanied by beer. This cover is vocal only with some sound effects. On the one hand I love listening to this song- the repetition of just the word 'Beer' and their intensity while singing it makes me laugh every time. On the other hand this may be the weakest song on the album, as the background noises are cans and slurping which I find distracting and, yes, a little gross. But hey when you're laughing, who cares.)6-Auld Lang Syne (Cover. Genre: Ska. If you want your new years holler to be followed by energetic dancing, this is the version of Auld Lang Syne to play hands down. It has a quick tempo and only one chorus is sung through the whole song, making it mostly instrumental. The chorus is sung towards the end of the song, so you can be sure to be done making out to sing along by then...)After listening to this album it's obvious to me that Reel Big Fish could EASILY cover more Christmas/Holiday songs, and I'm kind of hoping they will. I was a little disappointed that we only got six songs. Come on guys, just sort of add on to this album until it gets big enough to sell in stores. I'm really hoping you'll Sell Out with me.

Skatastic versions of all your favorite Christmas songs
These are the Christmas tunes I listen to every Christmas. I find it to be a great break from the run of the mill Christmas songs you hear everywhere all December. Whatever U Celebrate is perhaps the best holiday song that has come out in a while. This album needs more exposure.

Candy Coated Candy
Reel Big Fish have achieved what I long thought impossible: a tolerable version of Little Drummer Boy.This is a great little EP. The instrumentals are top-notch, the joke songs are funny, and everything is nice and evocative of Christmas. Unlike the typical Reel Big Fish record, these songs are not cheerfully-depressing. They're just cheerful.

Reel Big Fish do it again!
I always enjoy hearing new Reel Big Fish music. It's always fun, silly, and sarcastic. The songs on this album are enjoyable. I just wish there were more of them but for the price, well, it was right. If you like Christmas music with a smirk, this album is for you.

Great stuff as always!
The songs are the usual quality I have come to expect from Reel Big Fish. Two of the songs are instrumental and Carol of the Beers is simply Carol of the Bells with the word beer, it's entertaining. The only downside is that the album is kind of short. Whatever U Celebrate promotes a great feeling of equality that I haven't ever heard in a holiday song. This album is great, and I'm looking forward to more.
