I am incredibly photosensitive and burn with any UV light. This includes lightbulbs. I have had biopsies every time I see my dermatologist since I was 17. I had my first melanoma and basal cell carcinomas at that age. So I am very careful about light exposure and carried the original silver version of this umbrella for over a decade and a half.When this umbrella was new I was worried about the change in fabric and extra light that came through. My original was luminary Fort Knox. I took a photo of the inside of each to show the difference before I discarded the broken one.The quality is clearly the same after use. I got this in October. I use it daily. Since October it has faced incredible winds, snow on enough quantity to develop icicles, and intense heat. It will clearly be up for the task of the 120 degree farenheit summers.I have had 0 sunburns since I began using this umbrella. It opens and closes as easily as my old one. I do wish the closing was also automatic due to my disability issues but I'm still able to do it with my one working hand.The only thing that is unusable is the bag or cover. Can anyone get these back into their cases? I doubt it. This was true of the original and I used that daily too. I have never been disappointed in my Coolibar purchases
