I had something like this from the original installers, but as it aged it yellowed so I replaced it with the cheap flexible stuff, which simply wasn't the same. The product is pricey, compared to the cheap-y flexible stuff (around 4x as much) but honestly it looks and performs better. The grip is super tight (giggity) and doesn't leak at all. The length is also great, I had about 3" which needed to be trimmed to fit my exact shower door but it cuts cleanly with scissors or box knife and a razor blade for the fine cleanup. The shipping package came damaged, as it came in a 80" long tube of 1.5" diameter. The package was snapped in the middle, frayed from the rubbing with open portions in the packaging, but luckily the inside stiffness helped hold it together so it wasn't noticeably bent or damaged. I expect your mileage may vary as a lazy or uncaring delivery person could easily snap it in half. Would buy again. I have some other portions of the frame-less shower which have aged so I may just do it so it looks super clean. My rating is 6 thumbs up. The large flap shields against water getting out of the shower and is intended to swing outwards only. That flap will wear out and shear off of you try to pull the door inwards past that point. **Q: Is the fin/flap soft? Will this work on the opening side of the door? So the flap/fin would be hitting the wall when opening and closing.** A: Yes, the flap guard is pliable. This is not a bottom door seal; it is for the side of the door. The bottom door seal has a different type of “sweep” to keep the water off the threshhold.
