Poor Product
the product was broken when received, it didn't work once placed in my ps3 and refused to play or spin the disc. didn't even take the disc if it did the disc didn't work. Poor product and waste of time and money.

Worth it. Lightly worn.
I bought this to replace a dead Bluray player in my PS3. The replacement came with minor scratches on the top but otherwise looked like it was in good condition. I replaced it and it worked right away. The replacement player is a little loud when it ejects discs but runs quietly and smoothly. My games no longer freeze or skip. My old Bluray ended up completely dieing and not reading any discs once it started freezing up. I have only played on the new player for about 5hrs but so far no issues and everything is working great.

It is what is advertised.
This little disc drive has brought my little ole ps3 new life. It is quiet. It accepts the disc. It reads the disc. It ejects the disc. Installing the unit is tricky. I personally refused to even open it as I didn't want to risk damaging any of the internals nor over tightening a screw upon reassembly. I carefully slid the ribbon inside the port and lo and behold, it works. I am quite satisfied.

Not the right product
The ribbon cables are not the right size for the PS3.

Minor wear on it
The product did exactly what I needed. The motor on my old disc drive burned out after 5 years of use. This one came with minor scratches on it but works exactly as needed. The most difficult part is installing the strip on the bottom of the disc drive. You’ll need a flash light and a long skinny screwdriver to secure the strip. Even with small hands it can be challenging without a screwdriver.

It’s a good item at least it works
It needed work on the ps3 to install it and make it line up with the case
