Filled with Nail-biting Suspense
Do you know how, when watching a movie where a character is walking into danger you start yelling at the screen? That was me while reading the first chapter with my heart racing fast! Right from the first chapter I got pulled in and was focused on finding out how the story ended. After witnessing her twin sister’s murder, Ella Wolf retraces her steps to their sprawling Montana ranch to figure out what she had uncovered that led to her murder. Woefully unprepared for the harsh weather in Montana, she finds herself in danger and abandoned by the side of the road. Gabe Bowden has always wanted to settle down on his own ranch and start a family. He is finally back in Montana after years on the rodeo circuit to settle into his newly acquired property, Wolf Ranch and rescues a half-frozen female stranded by the side of the road. He initially mistakes Ella for her sister, Lela whom he had recently met, but when she confides in him, he takes it upon himself to help her in her quest, in spite of the fact that his dream has been destroyed before it could even take root. From the beginning, Gabe and Ella find themselves attracted to each other, but both initially ignore their attraction and instead focus on solving the mystery.Ella was portrayed as the party girl, flighty, indecisive and always down for a good time but that was very far from the truth. Ella is actually very smart and hardworking and tough. Gabe is sooo dreamy and almost unreal! I don’t know that I would have reacted the way he did if my dreams were on the verge of being destroyed, but he protects Ella and helps her find what she needs. But how can a romance between them work out? Gabe is a cowboy through and through and Ella is a city girl.At Wolf Ranch is so much more than just a romance about two people from very different backgrounds. The gripping suspense was well written, drawing me in from the first page and keeping me hooked. Even though we know who the villain is, getting to the why was a nail-biting experience. I believe that a sign of great writing is being completely connected with the characters and Ms. Ryan knocked this out of the park! I experienced Ella’s emotional highs and lows alongside her and even enjoyed her theatrical reveal of the villain. I also love that Ms. Ryan did not gloss over the difficulties of a relationship between them because of their different backgrounds, but took the time to share with us the sacrifices they made to make their relationship work. At Wolf Ranch is a keeper and I highly recommend it!*I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.*

Rich girl meets rugged cowboy
I enjoyed this tale. It had the right mix of murder angst and romance to hold my interest.Ella Wolf has been living the high life in New York City (but not as hare-brained as the paparazzi make her out to be), waiting a few more months until she and her twin sister, Lela, turn 25 years old and meet the terms of their parent's will so they can take over the running of the family mega business. Then the unimaginable happens and Ella flees to the safety of Wolf Ranch in Montana to try to figure out how to stay alive plus bring her sister's murderer to justice. On her first day back in Montana, she is saved by rancher Gabe Bowden and the sparks immediately start to fly between the two.Great characters, beautiful setting, and dastardly villains - I enjoyed it all.

Ella and Gabe
After rescuing Ella at the side of the road, Gabe assigned himself her protector. While wanting more he was afraid their lives were too different. Tis story was intense, romantic and I was completely captivated by Ella’s sense of justice and Gabe’s big heart. The writing was such I felt like I was present and somehow able help.

NYC Meets Montana
I like this book a lot; I just got back to reading this author and know why I like her in-depth stories and well thought out suspenseful stories. Ella witnessed the murder of her twin sister Lela by her uncle. Uncle Phillip had the police detective and the company lawyers in his pocket as well as half of Wolf Enterprises board of directors. They planned to steal the company from Ella and frame her for her sister's murder. They didn't figure on a handsome, down to earth cowboy and his family getting involved and a sexy FBI agent Sam Tucker. The story is complex in that Ella the extremely rich heiress falls hopelessly in love with Gabe Bowden the ex-rodeo star and buyer of her family's ranch with every cent he had. He finds out Uncle Phllip cheated him but Ella tells him she will make it right. How will these 2 people from completely different backgrounds and lives come together. The mystery is suspenseful but the inner turmoil between Gabe & Ella is very real; she is the NYC socialite/heiress and he is a cowboy who just wants to have a family with a woman willing to become a rancher's wife like his parents and brother Caleb & Summer. How will they clear Ella's name and solve their personal relationship dilemma?? diamondgirl

Sweet romantic thriller
There are only a few errors and certainly not enough to detract from the book. There are a couple of sex scenes and there is some swearing.I enjoyed the book, there characterisation is good, enough to allow the reader to form a connection. The female lead, Ella, is strong right throughout the book. The male lead, Gabe, is strong without being overbearing. The main issue is the lack of communication with sentences half finished and a lot of angst. The plotline is engaging, more than enough to keep you turning the pages. There are a couple of places where the story stalls a little and it feels like going over old ground.I have no problem recommending the book to fans of the genre
