Potterwookiee boasts a pretty fun hook - out of a boy's closet comes a Wookiee who dresses, talks, acts, and casts spells like Harry Potter - and if, like me, you have a son who loves both Harry Potter and Star Wars, it's a hook that makes this one required reading. That being said, the book is more rambling and less focused than you might hope; somehow, the book manages to include both its hairy Harry and threads like bully in need of a comeuppance or a national cooking show that's come to town with auditions. Combine that with the relatively minor role Hairy has in the book and you have a book that seems like it would have left us disappointed...and yet, both my son and I ended up really enjoying Potterwookiee. It's due partially to the funny artwork and doodles that fill the book, partially due to the silly humor on every page, and partially just due to the book's general sense of fun and entertainment. While Potterwookiee isn't as much about the two franchises that share its title, it's still a funny, silly book that had my son giggling throughout and me enjoying the silliness right there with him. And if it all seems more like a collection of fun vignettes than a cohesive story, at least there's a sense of entertainment, fun, and absurdity to each of them - more than enough to make up for the unevenness of it all.

This is the 2nd copy I have ordered. I believe you have received a damaged shipment of this title. Nothing wrong with the book except its cover. People who order a book as a gift wish to receive it in pristine condition. I thought you should know. I will not be returning it again, it is now too close to my grandson's birthday. He love's this series.

This books are so great for all kids. My soon loves them. They are silly and lots of fun.

I cannot review this based on the story as I have not read it. All I know is that my 11 yearold son has put down his laptop to read. That's a 5 star review in my book.

Finally a storyline that grabs my 12 yr old boys attention. He can't wait to find out what creature they will find next in the closet. If you have a Diary of a Wimpy Kid fan, or a child struggling to have the desire to read, then you got to check these books out..
