Using it on a very old and lightweight door that‘s too thin to take a deadbolt assembly. This is a reliably built, jimmy-proof surface lock. I don’t believe it’s as stout as a deadbolt. But it does a fine job on a door that anyone could easily blow through regardless of which lock was on the door.
