VACANCY

Solid Effort
Bayside's latest album is a solid and mostly consistent effort. It's been great to watch and listen to this band grow and mature through life's ups and downs. This album is very personal as far as the lyrics go, which can make it hard to relate to, and requires a fair amount of active listening to understand the the overall tone of each song. That being said, the music is still everything that we come to expect from Bayside, and the band works really well together as always. Very enjoyable, even if it is not my favorite Bayside album.

Solid 7th
Bayside's 7th album is solid. While I didn't have any issues with Cult, those who did mostly agree Vacancy is a greater group of songs and I will agree these songs certainly carry more weight. It's a brutally honest and personal album for the group. Nobody in the industry does it like this group. They have the unique capability to mix heart wrenching lyrics with upbeat melodies. So all in all, if you've liked Bayside for years, go ahead and pick this up. You already know what you're getting. If you didn't like Cult that much, buy this one. The singles are better and the entire group as a whole carries more replay value. For these reasons, I think it deserves the 5 star review. For anyone wondering if they should buy the CD or the Digital, you can go with either. It fits in a cardboard slipcover and the booklet just has the lyrics. Nothing special added. I just happen to like physical copies of certain bands for collection purposes.

All around great album. Bayside has shed (most of) the teenage angst of previous albums for a more polished sound but with the patented and wonderful Bayside bite, bitterness and cynicism intact. The song writing is a great blend of Sirens and Condolences to Cult styles. Instrumental variety and range is terrific and endlessly interesting. Gems of dark but empowering lyrics and complete with a lyrical Misfits cameo!

Buy it now!
I have listened to this album 6 times front to back, with planning on many more, and I can say I am behind pleased with this album. From the lyrics, to the music, everything. So happy with this purchase.

But it's definitely a good album from the band
I've listened to this probably 50 times, and I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about it. But it's definitely a good album from the band! Been listening to them forever!

Five Stars
Great album. Definitely a departure from the "typical Bayside sound," but still retains what makes Bayside great.
