What a waste of money. Even with super cold water in the teeny tiny reservoir did not produce cool air, and certainly not cold air. And forget about adding ice to help make it cold - the reservoir is way too small to accommodate ice. I should have kept the packaging so I could have returned the two I purchased.

Cool breeze on my face when power goes out.
Pleasantly surprise and runs on four AA batteries too! Just the trick for those horrid days and nights in SoFlo when hurricanes knock out power and though our house has full Roll-a-Way shutters it's excrutiatingly hot with no a/c. Even though this mighty mite emits more humidity the cooling breeze with a handful of stored ice cubes is perfect for my desktop to blow on my face. My iPhone gets YouTubeTV and runs on LTE when wifi goes out so I don't have to evacuate!!! Beer, some stashed ice and car to recharge batteries and cell phone for entertainment. A blessing! White noise not bad and good quality for the price. Love it!

This doesn't really get cool, even with adding ice. Not pleased at all!

Probably the cheapest (built) item I've ever purchased.
The portable A/C unit is so cheap and pretty much useless. Barely feel the air, plus is leaks even though I'm not filling it anywhere near capacity. I bought this for my dogs ... a regular fan would be more useful.
