I appreciate how quick I received my battery and love how my computer is functioning. I didnt realize how hard my mac was working. Since installing the new battery it runs better. Its quiet, its not hot to the touch, and the battery actually charges to 100%. It hasn't done that in years. I thought i was gonna need to replace my computer but I don't feel that way anymore. Thank you for my new old computer, if I can put it that way. You saved me a lot of money. New Review: I want to say that after a year it started to run harder and hotter... I never really used the computer anymore because it just took forever to load. I just noticed that recently the battery started buckling and I was unable to use the mouse pad anymore. When I finally got the battery off I found that the buckling was causing the mouse pad not to function. Not sure if this is supposed to happen but it lasted me almost 5 years if you want to call it that.

I purchased two of these mainly because of price. So far they haven't disappointed. Fit and finish is good, they do "feel" a bit lighter and more plastic than an Apple OEM battery, but this has no impact on function (so far?). These batteries were put into use in two 12 year old MBPs that are heavily used in a fairly high temp area, but remain stationary on AC power. These batteries are only for power outage situations. It's been about a month and all is well. Honestly for my purposes I can't beat the deal. I'm taking off one star for the sort of plastic feel. However if neither fail within the warranty period (which, again, $20 with a full year warranty. Can't complain) I'll happily return that star.

I read all the reviews on here before making my purchase and at first was a little discouraged. However, after receiving the battery and putting it into my laptop, all my concerns were gone. The battery is sleek and is a great replacement of the original. As soon as I installed it on my laptop, I turned it on and voila, my laptop was up and running. I am very pleased with my purchase and the battery works as described. The color of the battery was almost an exact match. If you're reading this, don't worry about all the negative reviews. The people on here with complaints should understand that sometimes they might be the problem and not the product.

I had an issue charging my MacBook and didn't definitely know whether it was the charging cable or the battery itself. So off to the Apple Store I went. They determined it was the cable, but the battery I had was also defective and not taking a charge properly. Apple wanted $80 for a charging cable. I told the guy he was nuts and that I'd go find my items elsewhere. I found this battery and a charging cable for less than half the price Apple wanted for the cable alone. This battery works pretty well. These older MacBook batteries don't have much life in them anyway, but at least I can use my computer while I save for a new one. Good value for the money.

I have an old MacBook Pro (from 2007). The batteries for that model usually cost over $100. I was so excited to see this product. I bought it to do some work on a plane flight. It does fit perfectly and looks and feels great. BUT, the charge lasted about 45 minutes. It gets worse. After the trip, I decided to use my MacBook Pro as before - no battery, just the power adapter. It wouldn't start (this has NEVER happened before). I've gone through so many PRAM and SMC resets to get it started. I finally get it going but it will shut down during sleep and then another series of PRAM and SMC resets to get it started again. I believe this battery damaged something internally on the Mac. I would not recommend this product!

The company reached out to me about my issue with the battery not holding a charge and informed me that the battery has a 1 year warranty. They instructed me to order another one and very promptly issued me a refund. I have put a few cycles on the new battery and this one seems to hold a charge longer. My MacBook Pro also reports that the capacity for this one is measuring 6,212 mAh, where the 1st battery only measured 5700-5800. This company wanted to make it right and they followed through. Thank you again!

The last battery I bought via Amazon was a complete dud. It never held a charge and eventually died via expanding. This one came with about a 50% charge and has seemed to hold up well. It charges and powers the old MacBook Pro for at least a few hours. It fit well into the battery slot and looks close enough to the aluminum to not be that noticeable. So I can say that so far, the battery I got is working well. I've only had it for a little over a month, but so far it's done what I need it to. And for the cost, it's a great deal.

Apple no longer makes a replacement for this so was very pleased to find this available. It fits my old 15" MacBook Pro model 3,1 -- A 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo (from Oct 2007) that can run up to El Capitan. This battery has the same indicator lights as the original, is a near match in color (granted I've had the thing 11 years so don't expect it to match). Coconut battery shows the components are produced by Sony and are a high quality product. I ran the Mac with high CPU load (CPU and GPU get very hot and are next to the battery) -- the battery didn't get as hot as the original. Charges about 5300 mAh out of max spec 5600 mAh (normal for this battery). I needed this since my original Apple one puffed up due to high heat and humidity (a known issue with Apple MacBooks) . Battery life similar to the original approx 2 hours. I've had this over a month now and use it for DJ sessions, it has been trouble free so happy with the purchase.
