This brush being made of plastic (some kind of fortified rubber is more like it) had me a bit skeptical. While sponge material brushes are good, they tend to inevitably tear apart piece by piece. This durable and washable "rubber" brush is very strong and actually performs better than the traditional sponge material alternative. To my surprise, the hard material actually provides a little bit of massage and chakra opening on the scalp - at least it does for me! It's a nice sizeable brush so it would be difficult to misplace this. Mine has lasted many years and is still kicking. This is the only twist brush that you need. No need to buy the dollar store sponge brushes every month when this brush will outlast them all. Definitely recommend.
