Placemats arrived quickly and were exactly as described. I bought these to match some new dishes and really wanted them more for decorative effect than utility. They catch crumbs but not liquids. They are made of plastic (easy to clean) and have an open basketweave effect so water, gravy, etc. does leak through. If you want something to protect a wood table from heat and moisture, these will not be what you want. However, if you want bright, colorful, inexpensive placemats to dress up your table, they're great!

Love the material, size & color of these placemats! I have the other 2 inside the cabinet to protect the shelves. If your on the fence… I highly recommend getting them! You can’t beat the price. I looked around in a few stores & didn’t find any as nice as these - good price!

Based on the reviews and the photos, I ordered these to use on wooden TV trays. The placemats are the perfect size and the perfect blue color. They are easy to clean and a good value for the money. I can see that with rough use they might not stand the test of time, but with normal use and care they are just fine. I am very pleased with them.

We needed to use a dyson piece to avoid a bowl or plate slipping around the table. This is a more attractive alternative. The placemat will slide a little but holds a dish for the most part. I don't know that it would work all that well for little ones but in our case it is great. I will order 4 more to have an 8 place setting. They wipe down easily. We got the blue and it looks very nice on our oak table.

These placemats are thinner than some others I've seen in stores but they work great for what I need them for. We use them on our granite kitchen island. If you are concerned about heat protection for a wood table, you might want to consider something with a higher heat resistant rating depending on if you plan to put anything other than warm plates on them (these mats protect up to 80 degrees, but I've seen others that protect up to 120 degrees). These are very easy to clean. We have the blackcoffee version, which is a black and brown weave. They look great with my countertop.

These placemats are ok. Stains pretty easily and doesn’t come off. I tiny drip of tomato sauce and it’s stained forever. Not good.
