This product is wonderful. I started using it two weeks ago to fry some batches of fried zucchini and it was so simple and easy to use. You just have to remember not to over fill it with oil. I like that it has a thermometer to see how you can control how hot the oil gets. It’s a great little stove top gadget. Highly recommend for small frying.

The drainage area is a little small for the amount you can fry up. Fried French fries, onion rings, breaded okra perfectly on glass top electric stove. Paired it with the cooking grease container with lid and strainer.

I loved the idea of this being a smaller pan that did not require the space that a traditional electric fryer would. It arrived quickly and appeared well made. I love the idea of the drain on the lid, though it wasn't really necessary. All of that said, I did end up returning it in favor of this one (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EU68MU?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). The primary reason being that the electric one was an easier clean and this set up, being circular and narrow at the top, was more limiting for me getting things in and out of it. It just didn't seem necessary compared to a standard pot aside from the convenience of the thermometer, which could be purchased cheaply as a clip on to a conventional pot. As far as electric plug vs stovetop, I have an electric stove so that didn't matter to me. All in all if you need a smaller unit for small batch frys and want the convenience of a built in drain and thermometer this is affordable and efficient. You really can't go wrong with either one.

Easy to use frying pot/pan, gets very hot on stove top, and fries food evenly. Nice without the cord and temperature control the included temp gauge is easy to use and accurate. When frying oil does not spill over like with electric fryers. Great purchase.

Does not hold heat well. Some foods comes out soggy. Only good for cooking wings. Pot is easy to clean but the top takes more effort.

It’s really very thin metal so it doesn’t hold the heat as well as a cast iron pot would.
