Is the opening big enough for ice cubes?

They would have to be small ice cubes. The opening is about the size of a quarter.

About how long does it stay warm for? For an elderly feral cat that i would like to help keep warm during cold months

I suggest a snuggle safe heating disc for cats in winter months. That’s is what I use for my outdoor cats. They work very well. Thank you for caring about the kitty.

Can this be frozen or kept in the fridge?

I don’t see why it couldn’t be kept in a refrigerator.
