**Q: Can you use the table with cover to play chess or another board game also?**
A: Great idea! The table will adjust to a flat surface for use as a game table!!  Have fun!!!

**Q: Does it swivel to do Portrait style?**
A: no it stays horizontal

**Q: Can the table be assembled without the bottom shelf for more leg room?**
A: It seems like it would be less stable without the shelf

**Q: Is this table stable/sturdy enough to double as a dining tray with the cover on?  For use by nursing home patient with very limited space.**
A: I want to say yes as long as they don't lean on it. I dont think a dinner tray would too heavy but the cover does not cover the entire surface of the board either. It does not go all the way to the edges (at least mine doesnt). If you order it i would suggest maybe taking just the the board to the nursing home to get a feel of exactly how much room it will take in the space before putting it together. That way if its too big you can get it back in the box easier then trying to take apart and having to figure out how to get it all back in the box to ship back. That being said it does have wheels on it so it is very easy to move around and is a perfect addition for anyone who loves doing puzzles. I hopes this helps.

The table is easy to put together and well made; very sturdy. Easily holds the standard size 1000 piece puzzle. May hold something larger, not sure.
