This kit was an excellent value for a beginning candle maker. I was looking for a new hobby to try while my son began kindergarten that was relaxing, fun and rewarding. This kit was perfect for me. I loved everything it included. I have used it several times and so far it has worked very effectively. I loved that it came with online instructions. I loved the quality packaging and even higher quality materials. I actually like that it’s a simple kit because it allows for lots of creativity and room for learning, growth and experimentation. This kit would make a stand out gift for ANYONE who would like to try something new and likes to learn a new skill. Candle making has been fun, rewarding and relaxing so far and I can’t wait to try more!

This kit is awesome. It includes everything you need except for the scented oil. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, and I really got a nice laugh out of the numerous mild sarcasm they included in the safety instructions for the hot plate. I love a good sense of humor! 😁 The hot plate and other tools were all excellent quality, and the soy wax itself seemed top notch to me, though admittedly this is my first time ever trying candle making. The manufacturer clearly cares about quality, and again, I liked their sense of humor and style. I’ll definitely buy from them again if I get the opportunity to do so! I would absolutely recommend this kit. I got it on sale, but it’s worth the usual full price. The candles I made with this kit were a big hit on Christmas! I didn’t use the wicks included in the kit, but they also seemed great quality as well. I ordered wood wicks instead and really enjoyed those.

I’m so pleased with these products! I was worried the electric burner wasn’t going to work. However the burner works great. My wax heats up to 200 with no problems. I had no reason to be worried. I have only used the wax to make melts and thus far I have no complaints. As a beginner, I wasn’t aware there could be “frost” associated with not heating the wax to the appropriate temperature. I now keep the wax at 185 for at least 10 minutes. Hope this helps! I definitely would recommend these products. I can fit about 4 cups of wax in the pouring pot. Heads-up the suggested instruction videos on their website aren’t that informative.

Although this was a great starter kit, there are a few additional items that a new candle maker should make sure to order in addition to this. Kit includes a hot plate, a stainless steel warming pot, 50 candle wicks, a stirring spoon, and two 2.5lb bags of soy wax. It does not include any glass jars, adhesives for the wicks, scents to be added to the candle and it does not include a thermometer even though directions specify to heat to certain temperatures. Overall, it is a perfect gift or starter to begin your candle crafting journey and you will have fun making a beautiful candle. It is easy to use and the step by step instructions will guarantee success.

First let me say how clever the box / design is. I laughed .. out loud. It says I know you’ve been waiting for me … funny ! The kit comes with everything I needed to get started for a classic simple candle. I, myself enjoy scented so I was blown away by how easy it was to place the perfect amount of wax and toss in some essential oil fragrance and before I knew what happens I was three scents in and my house smells fantastic! Lol the kit has a LOT of wax so whatever the project , you’re well on your way ! Plus , you aren’t paying a small fortune for the candles you’d buy at that huge retail place I won’t mention .. I LOVE MY CANDLES ! I am going to need to find the happy medium for the temperature to get the wick to stay stable on the bottom of the containers but other than that , it was so easy to mix , melt and pour into my containers . Awesome ! Also , I got creative and added some small pine cones from my ranch to the wax and added a pine and apple scent with a cinnamon stick ..it smells like Christmas time at our cabin for sure ! :) enjoy yourself , happy creating !

Chandler Tools is amazing, first off! I bought a heat gun from them that quit working unexpectedly, and Chandler shipped me another one free, no shipping charge, no need to return damaged item...just like that! Second, this kit is an excellent start off for candle making. It comes with a hot plate, a pouring pot, long spoon, wicks, and 1 pound of wax, as well as instructions on making a candle. Everything is good quality and works well. Thank you Chandler Tools!

It was easy to use to an extent, but the hotplate didn't really work so I sent it back and got a new one but that one worked exactly the same. I couldn't adjust the heat the only way I was able to keep it on was having almost fully up even then sometimes it would shut off and I have to turn it up or down or up or down. Since I wasn't able to really work with the temp I couldn't get the scent to really blend in.

I never leave reviews, but I am a marketer my own self and hard to impress with packaging, but this package made me SMILE! I don’t know anything about candle making, but I am excited to get into it and I am so glad I found this kit to get started. I will definitely be looking for more awesomeness from Chandler Tool Creative Squad. Thanks for making my day! This would make a great gift also.

The heating portion of the hot plate is 4½ inch in diameter... takes forever to heat the wax in a double boiler. The wax smells bad The only thing I like is the spoon! well, the cup is OK as too Would not recommand unless you are making one small candle at the time and you have all the time in the world

I received my package ripped open and left on front porch as pictured. It is missing the melting pot, wicks, and wick holders. I only received the wax, hot plate and the spoon. Extremely unimpressed. On top of this. I figured I’d still make use of the wax. This is NOT soy wax!! I’m fairly certain this wax is crisco!
