Madison Reed Color Reviving Gloss – Barolo Red, 4oz

This was super easy to apply. I squirted low towards the roots, then massaged to the tips. I used the whole tube, but next time will try just half. Then I covered my hair with a plastic cap for 35 minutes before washing it out in the shower. The conditioning effect is stunning. My hair felt so light, soft and smooth after the treatment. I didn't get a ton of color but I expected that. I haven't colored in a long time so I expect my hair is not porous enough to take on this color. But it absolutely is an improvement in my color. Before it looked bland, plain brown with stray grays. Now I see hints of auburn/red all over and the grays are not visible.

I hate this product. I probably should have read more before I bought it. I thought this was more like a color deposit shampoo for in between full color. It is actually an over-priced, temporary dye job. The directions say to apply to dry hair and wait 30 minutes to rinse. If I am going to do that, I may as well just do a full color. This is also difficult to apply because it is so thick. It claims 1-2 applications. I have chin length hair and no way could I get 2 applications out of this. It ended up being way messier than just coloring and also more spotty due to the thickness not penetrating through all the layers. To do a proper job, it would have taken longer than a full dye job. Gem Lites is a far superior product. I should know better than to try something new.

I purchased this glaze because I was unhappy with the way my hair turned out after my most recent trip to the salon. I felt like it was too copper and brassy. I found this while doing some searching, and it did exactly what I needed it to. The tube made application easy. The enclosed gloves were too big, so I used my own. I was able to apply it to my entire head in under 5 mins and waited the full 35 mins before rinsing. The color came out GREAT! And bonus points for not staining my bathtub. I wish it were a bit more affordable, but otherwise, this is a 5-star product in my opinion.

I did notice a change, my red was becoming a little brassy and this product helped bring the fire back. I do feel my hair is on the drier side, but I just need to add a little more conditioner next time. Over all, decent, but not for the price

I was very hesitant to try after opening the package and seeing that the gel is RED RED. I was looking to just freshen up my natural color and shine from the summers sun bleaching. I was pleasantly surprised to get the exact tone and blending I was looking for, along with an incredibly soft shine and feel!! Used about 1/3 of the bottle, evened it throughout with a roller brush, only left it in for maybe 5-6 mins before rinsing. I would probably use a clear version of this glossing in between applications. 10/10 recommend for a very nice tint of red :-)

Color is very vibrant. Did not work well for my auburn hair color.

This really added color and shine to my hair. The only down side is that it is really expense. My hair is should length and I had to use the whole thing. If you have really long hair you would have to buy two

What I like about the product is how vibrant the color does to my hair! I love it!!
