My vet recommended this toothpaste as it is VOHC approved. It has been effective in keeping tartar at bay. I brush my pups' teeth daily. I put a little on my finger and thumb and rub it on their teeth and gums. The doctor even suggested putting some on their chew toys for added effectiveness. So far, we have seen no intestinal issues (vomit or loose stools). Sophia, Maiya, and Lexi think it's a treat. They obviously like the flavor. AND it freshens their breath! Doggy kisses are pleasant! Highly recommend!

My 2 year old tiny dog was developing thick tarter on his teeth :( My dog’s vet said it wasn’t bad enough for him to get a dental, but I needed to start brushing his teeth daily to keep it from getting worse. I bought this toothpaste hoping it would keep build up down but it turned out even better. After just a week of putting the toothpaste on his teeth in the morning and brushing with it at night, a big chunk of calcified tarter came off his right canine tooth while I was examining them. (So satisfying). This an awesome product! So glad I found something that works! I included pictures of his canines. One where the tartar hasn’t come off yet and the other where you can see how much cleaner and less irritated his gum line looks now that the tarter chip fell off.

I honestly can't believe how well this stuff works! I adopted a dog that they said was 2 years old but I swear his teeth looked at least 5. They were slimy and had a good deal of tartar up top so I was concerned. I figured I'd try this even though I thought it was very expensive. Well it goes a long way so forget the price it's well worth it. And wow does it work! After just a couple of applications I can see and feel a huge difference. I don't even brush them I just rub it around his teeth. I am extremely happy with this product! Definitely recommend!

Not my dogs favorite flavor, but otherwise ok.

Brushing a dog's teeth is never fun but this toothpaste at least makes it tolerable for them. Both of my dogs seem to like the flavor, and the vet says their teeth look clean after using this for a year.

Petsmile is the preferred toothpaste for my goldendoodle’s dental routine – not that my goldendoodle has a refined understanding of dental products. It’s VOHC approved, which gives me confidence that it’s actually doing something beyond tasting good. I do switch between this and a few others occasionally, just to keep things interesting. Brushing is easy, there’s no resistance, her teeth appear clean and well-maintained.

My dogs love it, and it is very easy to use. It helps their teeth and freshens breath. Been using it for years!!

Getting a cat to let you brush their teeth is a trick but, I believe that the taste of this may have helped getting my younger cat to have a bit more patience, and she likes the taste.

They keep trying to lick the tube. It’s hilarious. I gotta admit sometimes I get lazy and miss days here and there, so can’t really comment on its effect as you supposed to do it everyday. But the doctor for my dogs said it hasn’t gone worse so I guess, worked somehow.

Have used other toothpastes in a pinch, but will always come back to this one for my dog. He loves the taste and it works! Can see why it's approved by the VOHC. Worth every penny and it lasts AGES. This paste doesn't smell of anything really - Definitely no overwhelming fake meat smells to contend with. Must taste good as my dog will eat it from the tube. Non foaming. Not abrasive. Apparently the formula works just from the pets licking it, so you could alternatively smear a pea sized amount on a toy if you really can't get a good scrub on. Note: No toothpaste is going to be able to remove well established thick plaque from teeth. Only a dental scale and polish from a veterinarian will do that. Overall, what I can say is that from firsthand experience, my dog is now three and I've used this once every few days in one form or another (actually brushing his teeth or having him just lick it) since he was a pup and his teeth are spotless.

This toothpaste really works! My dog’s breed tends to have tooth problems and when I realized that she was getting a build up of black tartar on her teeth, it was time to do something. For the last three weeks, I have brushed her teeth daily and the black on her teeth has been steadily going away. This isn’t a quick fix but it’s really helping! I’ll also say that my dog loves the taste and it doesn’t have a strong smell, so I’m thrilled to have found something that actually worked and that my dog enjoys. Finally, while it’s expensive, I can see the value as I have hardly made a dent in the bottle after nearly a month. I will be buying it again!

My puppy loves the taste of this toothpaste so much, every night when I finish brushing my teeth and turn around, I see her sitting patiently waiting for her turn.
