Just what I wanted!
This rope was exactly what I wanted and SGTknots was super helpful with my questions. In case anyone wants to achieve a similar look and can’t find any installation help online, here’s how I did it. My swing came with 4 eye bolts mounted to the bottom. I purchased 4 screw eyes and mounted those to the beams. Then 5/16” quick links (8 of these to connect chain to the screw eyes) and 1 roll of 3/8” x 30ft of chain that I cut to length with bolt cutters. The rope is 1.5” promanilla. I cut the rope using tree loppers and used a blow torch to burn the ends so it wont unravel. Hope this helps!

Awesome for swings!
A little spendy but well worth it! This looks like natural fiber rope but will be much more durable in the elements. I used this for a tree swing and it turned out great!

High quality and durability!
If your looking for a top quality rope this ones it. I bought mine (see picture) in the 1/2” at 100 feet and I was able to do many projects with it. I wrapped a planters pot, made curtain tie backs and a few other items with it. The rope is extremely durable, doesn’t fray throughout the rope and would work great for many different projects; from crafts to children’s swing-sets. I highly recommend buying this rope if your searching for a nice looking rope that is also very strong. You won’t be disappointed.

Good stuff you won’t be disappointed
I bought this 1 inch rope to create an outdoor room under some palm trees on our property, it’s extremely strong, in fact hard to cut through but I managed it finally! I love the way it looks like real manila, it really does. Very happy the with results and I believe this stuff will outlive us lol! Seller was brilliant, arrived quickly. Oh and it was the best price by far.....others I’d looked at were twice this price!

sturdy, smooth and great looking.
I was worried that a synthetic version of manilla rope would look "fake" or would have a lot of unsightly strands sticking out and that it might be hard to work with but I was totally wrong to worry. The rope looks realistic and its nice and neat with no strings or strands sticking off like some of the natural fiber manilla rope. Its very easy to work with and easy to tie knots in. The color is natural looking and quite beautiful especially if you are an earth tone lover like I am.I purchased it to cover a support beam in our house tying knots to make it look like the pillars on a dock that they cover with rope. I unfortunately ordered the wrong width rope. I thought the nylon rope I started my project with was 3/8th inch but it may have been 1/2 inch because the UnManila was quite a bit thinner. I am returning the spool I have and am purchasing the 1/2 inch. I am anxiously awaiting its arrival (tomorrow) Its perfect for my project. I know it is going to make the ugly support column look great and enhance the looks of my great-room. I am thrilled that it will not absorb dirt and spills or stretch over time like natural fibers.

Know how to finish
The rope is high quality. It does come wrapped up so there are bends in the rope. Depending what you are using it for, this could become tricky. I needed to submerge several times in boiling water to reshape the bends out of the rope. The ends are also a bit tricky. Instructions were to tape off tightly and burn. I put over gas stove flame to melt ends. Made for a bit of a messy end so I had to try several times. One note, do not use a chop saw or circular saw to cut! I used a knife and some manpower.

Slippery When Wet but Practical and Strong
I have never purchased rope before, and I had expected that this product, made not from hemp but from fossil fuel derivative products, would be less than ideal for my purpose of moving a 1-ton magic boulder off of my property. But I was wrong, it worked out great. And if you melt the cut ends with your Bic lighter after cutting the line, and then squeeze the loose strands with your fingertips (ouch its a little hot), it's easier to tie knots when you need that end - your tagline (that's knot tying language).Anyhoo, I had a lot left over after I got that spooky boulder off the north-forty and onto a public highway, to get smashed by an 18-wheeler, so I cut myself 12' lengths to connect the front bumpers to the rear bumpers of cars in parking lots near me, where I could watch the fun commence using my Amazon Prime spy binoculars. In summary, a plastic rope is fine, but it will be more slippery when wet as compared to a natural rope. And I suggest the 1/2" size for most uses, rather than the 3/4" that I have been using. I've got big hands and fat fingers, so the 3/4" size was easy enough to tie knots with. - James "Time Travel Wish" Mason

Beautifully made product.
Previously used hemp rope and discolored and rotted. This rope is man made and will not rot, UV resistant. The rope maker suggest you burn the ends which will melt it and keep it from unraveling. I went further and wrapped it with gorilla tape. Then as you can see in the picture are used a 4 inch screw with a large washer to stabilize the rope at the endpoint. In between the posts I put a 6 inch screw through the rope so it would be stable between posts. Wrap the portion of the rope that the screw will go through with Gorilla tape as well to keep from unraveling.

Nylon - Not Manila
This is basically yellow nylon rope dyed a different colour. It is not manila as advertised. I bought it for a cat scratching post, but will need to repurpose it. Not happy with this product.

Extremely cheap. Looks nothing like shown.
This was a last ditxh purchase and i regret it. Yet need it so cant return it. Do not buy if you can wait for something better. Online purxhases for stuff like this is a bad idea. Send you plastic.

Cheap poly rope
I expected something better, this is just like that cheap yellow plastic poly rope except its brown. Slippery, crunchy, cheap.
