I've only tried it as a cold pack. Works well for shoulders, knees, elbow and ankle.

Very convinient & holds it in one place.
It's convenient, retains the cold temperature for about 20 minutes. Been using this for about 4 months. It good for me. Using it for my knees and calf (sports injury); keeps the ice firm firm with the velcro belt.
