Over the years I've taken to liking the 1/2" thick mats with the grip lines. They're just easier on the joints (two acl reconstructions and a spinal fusion from T2 to L2) and a plate in my wrist. This mat is great. I like the design and color, the thickness is perfect, no smell AT ALL which is both rare and awesome. I used it today and found it comfortable. I also like the 72" length because I'm about 5'9 so I'm not hanging off the mat.
