This is the one
I've tried so many car mounts for cell phones and found this (for the second time) to be the best. Even better than the WeatherTech which not only takes up a cup holder, but wobbles, shakes and gyrates the iPhone. Any one of these so-called holders that have a "stem" are going to react differently to the bumps and actions of the car. This product, in a sense, becomes part of the car by being installed directly on the dash. No "stem" so no wobble, no shaking, but a steady holder making a steady phone. It's also adjustable so it not only holds the iPhone, but if needed, can hold my Garmin GPS, and my RV back-up camera. This is the second vehicle I've purchased this Clamshell product for. In my opinion, it's the best. When I sold my first car with the Clamshell installed, I used a hair dryer and it allowed the adhesive to come right off.

It works very well for me
I am elderly , often bed ridden , and use it to hold my phone on a bed table while I watch my shows on Amazon prime and Netflix. I am quite happy with it

Works for my needs
I like to watch (..mostly listen) to sports TV on my daily commute to work. This stand allows me to mount my phone in landscape to take advantage of that landscape mode. I love that. On a personal note, I wish it had more suction.

Great for phones with large cases
I bought this to use for my work phone that has a thick case on it. Its awkward to put in and out of the unit but it holds very well and it helps with glare. I would check that it fits the vehicle you want to put on though. I bought it for a Ford Ranger and it doesn't fit in the precut console dish so I can't mount it. I have it just sitting inside the tray and it stays while driving so I am just dealing with it.
