Q: Does this lid trap water?

I assume you are asking if when the broken knob is replaced with a new one, the lid, as it is supposed to, continues to trap water. Yes. The lid with the replaced knob cooks stews, bakes rustic bread, and barbeques ribs as efficiently as it always did before the replacement took over for the original knob.

Q: What is the highest temperature rating for use of this product?

The silicone rubber washer would probably limit the max temp to 400F. If you want to go above that- remove it or don’t use it. The SS knob and hardware would far exceed ratings of the cookware you use it on. Most pots/pans have upper temp limits that should be followed.

Q: Can I place this knob in the oven at 350?

Yes definitely I put this knob on a cast iron Dutch oven lid and baked it in the oven at 425 for over an hour with no issues

Q: Will this work on a Club Aluminum vintage Dutch oven as a replacement knob?

I have this on a vintage Majestic brand aluminum, bucket handle, kettle. It works fine. It comes with a plastic washer the makes the knob fit tight.
