Lip Balm Making Kit for Girls Age 8+, Girls Birthday Presents

Fantastic lip balm making kit! It was so easy to use, made with all-natural ingredients, and included everything we needed. There were more than enough supplies to make lots of batches. Bought as a birthday gift and my 7-year-old was absolutely in her element and had so much fun making them. Looks great, really enjoyable and great value for money too so I'll be buying them for her friends' birthday gifts too. The only minor issue was that the olive oil wouldn't come out of the bottle, even after removing the lids AND the seal, so we used some from our cupboard instead. Not a problem for us but obviously some people might not have to hand. Overall, I'm very impressed. I rarely write reviews but this kit was too good not to recommend!

Don’t be put off by the small box if this is for a gift, it’s really great and they’ll see how much is inside when they open it. You get - 10 plastic lip balm tubes - a sheet of labelling stickers - a silicon mixing cup - a vial of olive oil - a bag of beeswax pellets - a tin of shea butter - three dropper bottles of fragrance - a plastic scoop - a lolly stick to stir/scrape down sides of cup The instructions were easy to follow. Heating the mixture requires a microwave oven. I would advise laying down paper towels to soak up any spillages. Mixture sets very quickly so you might have to keep re-melting, until you’ve filled up the tubes. Stir it well in-between blasts in the microwave to melt the beeswax pellets - this does take a bit of time. The fragrances were Mint, Strawberry and Watermelon. They smell like children’s lip balm fragrances, but they liked them. I bought this for my 8-year-old and her friend to do on a play date, and they enjoyed it. They did require help and supervision the whole time. Older children probably less so. I’d say this is a perfect gift or toy for ages 8-11

I found the product very fun for kids and the finished lip balm is very high quility, as if it was store bought. Positives: very nice for kids if they are bored, on days off school. Would definitly recommend for kids that love crafts and makeup. The making process is very easy and fun and doesen't take to much time, but it is very entertaining for kids to make. Negitives: can get a little messy but other then that it doesen"t have that many negitives. The product came smaller then I thought, but the contens are worth it. The PURPLE LADYBUG Lip Balm Making Kit turned out to be a fantastic birthday gift for my lip balm obsessed tween niece. The kit is genuinely easy to use with clear instructions, minimal mess, and just enough hands on activity to feel creative without becoming chaotic. The only challenge was her impatience waiting for the balms to fully solidify, but that’s part of the fun. The appearance of the finished balms is great, and she loved the variety of flavours included. The labels were a huge hit too. She used the ones provided and even made some of her own. The balms held up well, so the durability of the tubes and finished product is solid for a children’s craft kit. On value for money, it’s excellent. You get a generous quantity, the flavours were “really nice” according to the expert herself, and there were no reactions at all to the ingredients. She initially refused to give any away, but enjoyed it so much that we ended up buying a second kit so she could make lip balms as party gifts. It may not be the most hydrating option for more “life‑experienced lips,” but for kids and tweens it’s perfect; fun, safe, great looking, and genuinely giftable. A brilliant craft kit that delivers exactly what it promises.

This a great little kit. My 11-year-old daughter and her friend made the lip balms and had so much fun. My only suggestion would be to replace the mint oil with a different scent. The other two scents that come in the kit smell very nice though. Would definitely buy this kit again!

This can be for a wide range of ages. I would say between 8-12 years would enjoy it most. It was a huge hit for the 8 year old I bought it for. From the moment they opened the box, they were excited! It was well organized and felt like a real "spa day" experience for them. The instructions were easy to follow, and I loved that the kit came with everything they needed, including fun flavors and stickers for customizing their lip balm containers. It kept them happily engaged for more than an hour. It was nice because they could create something new that is usable and took them away from wanting to watch TV. Honestly, the quality was pretty good. It feels like normal lip balm from the store which was cool because they got to make it! I appreciated that it was a creative activity that encouraged independence and even a bit of science learning. That was a new experience for them. It is perfect for birthdays, rainy days, or just a fun craft activity. They can keep using it and have a variety of flavors to choose from. I highly recommend it!
