It should fit. The set up is super basic but sturdy. The top plate has a lip with holes. The secure point in in the edges (3 inch desk is perfect for this). And the. The bottom plate is flat with no lip. It screws into the bottom of the desk separately. The only real concern is the size of your clamp!

How come you don' have any mounts with 5 in c clamp, I have a think desk due to shelves and it measures 5" and everything is for less then 5 in thick.
