Question 1

How heavy a dog can sleep on the xxl? My dog weigh 170 lbs.

I am not sure, you may have to contact the manufacturer for that information.  I can tell you that my 120-lb dog uses it, and fits nicely, with plenty of room, even when my 59-pound pit bull curls up with him.  The bed has been outside all summer, so all of my dogs use it when they are outside.  My dogs are inside dogs, but spend long periods with me outside when I am working there, and it makes a great resting place, so they are not on the ground all of the time.  The dogs race across it when they are playing with each other, chasing balls, etc.  It has stood the test of time thus far, without sagging, ripping, etc.  It is a well made product.  I am going to bring it into the house during the winter and place his orthopedic mattress on top of it, as they are the same size.

Question 2

I have a bad chewer.  Which is your most durable bed as far as chewers are concerned.?  Would it be the Cordura fabric or the vinyl?

May be vinyl. I'm not sure it would matter. I got this bed for a litter of border collie puppies. So I wanted it to be as chew resistant as possible. The fabric slides into the frame so it is not exposed and there is no corner area exposed so they would have a hard time getting a hold of a piece of material. I think this is the most durable pet bed I have owned.

where to get the replacement cover? is it easy to replace it? thanks!

I would check the manufacturer's web site or call their customer service department. as to difficulty it will probably be like the original assembly since you will need to disassemble most of the frame to replace the bed platform

Want to put the xxl in a crate approximate size 54l x 37w. is this going to be too tight a fit?
