Do you peel off the white backing?

There is no white backing. The back is white but it is just the material. You pull the Nanobloc off the card and place it on the surface you want to cover. It just grips the surface. You can place it back on the card or leave it on a surface. It isn’t sticky and is reusable.

Are they safe from scratching any surfaces especially the lenses?

They are very soft. I can't imagine them scratching a lens. They don't leave any residue either.

Will these fit on the iPhone 12 front camera?

Yes - I think they had the iPhone 12 in mind. The thin strips work on the front camera and the circles work great on the back.
