Beautiful, Cumbersome, and prone to spot rust. :(
Overall the piece is beautiful. It is nice and sturdy (heavy to my wife) and went together overall fairly well. There are no special tools required to assemble but it could be a bit difficult to assemble alone considering the pieces were fairly heavy. My wife tried to put it together before I got home but was unable to hold the piece in place while attempting to start the threads.Once in the garden, it looks great! The downside was that it gets filled with water (for the birds) and is getting hit with the garden hose (for the plants). These seem like normal obvious things that would happen to a birdbath which was why I was disappointed to see rust starting to form after only a few days. I've returned the unit and asked for a replacement hoping that only my unit didn't get the full rust protection treatment. It doesn't appear to be happing to the whole thing which is why my fingers are crossed hoping this one was missed when they protected it. I can't imagine the company intended it to rust considering how it will be used. It does concern me though that after a few years I may begin to see this happen again as whatever coating is applied begins to wear off in the sun and rain.:: UPDATE ::I received the second one and just like the first, it is rusting in spots. I was told by the company that this is part of the product. I also do see that the description says it will rust. I understand the idea/beauty of a patinaed piece however I don't understand why, if that was the design intent, there are now product photos showing this progression so I can see if that is something I want to wait for. Also, the patina is going to be inconsistent as the bowl will rust first and the exterior only if it is in the way of a sprinkler head or I manually wet it. Overall that explanation seems more of a way to get around the fact they didn't pick a good material or properly sealant. I'll keep it a few months and update again if it does in fact look better once it's "fully rusted".

Rusted after first rain
This birdbath is a disappointment! I paid $50 for this thing because many of the other reviews said it was a great product. However, after the first rain, the birdbath got rusty and a piece of the top chipped off (just from the rain, not from it hitting against anything). This birdbath is not worth the money. Low quality and an eyesore. I would love my money back!

rusting!!!!
I am so disappointed because I was so looking forward to this birdbath it is well constructed as I thought and sturdy but I only had it in the garden for one day filled with water and already it’s rusted within one day!! I am not a happy camper!!!

Too Small
I ordered this thinking it looked big enough to work. It is too short, the bowl is too small and rusts. No birds want to drink that water. It may serve better as a feeder. Disappointed.
