Love JR Ward’s books, am happily half way through this and am already excited for the next one!

This book is just awful. The story is all over the place, it is boring, boring and more boring. I am a book reader, and I must say this is the worse I have ever seen. A lot of uninteresting interacting , boring. From dialogue to the sex: awful. Characters uninteresting and as of paranormal: Nope. Heart pounding? No way. Tranquilizer! with Cliffhanger. This is not the first book that sucks, even the BDB books are getting worse. But this one tops all of them. Awful, just awful. Trying to mix some Brother in here, looks like she tries to sell because of the very good first books of the BDB series, the few that where really good before she changed the style and ran out of ideas, that is. There is no way I want to even know how this Series goes on. I disposed this book and that was the first time in my life I have thrown away a book. I am so mad I wasted my money on this, and the time! I will not buy from this Author ever again.

I'm a huge fan of the BDB, but lately the books are getting bad, starting with The Chosen. And this new series is utterly boring. Didn't even finished it. That was it for me. No more BDB.I'm so sad about it. J. R. Ward changed her writing style a while ago and the series is on a downslide ever since. Such a pity 😢

Great book, all I’ve come to expect from this author and this world she created. Love the characters, love the glimpses into the BDB’s ongoing life, and love the way the narratives mesh. One drawback, the heroine was stubborn and pigheaded to the point that it was near foolish and distracting. She improved after the first third of the book so there was some growth to see, which was nice but there is a fine line between strong, independent female characters and just stupid. Otherwise, another enjoyable read from J.R Ward.My copy of the book arrived damaged, with the back cover torn in the middle at the top, and along the spine.

J. R. Ward always delivers. This book arrived on time and wasn't damaged.
