I have an old Projector I have decided to use for media and annoyingly it hasn’t got an audio out but does have HDMI so I when using the projector with my mini Sky box, I had no sound. I decided to give this a go and it did the trick perfectly. It took me all of 3 minutes to get set up and working and has never failed me yet. The build quality is very good and the item comes with a power cable to get you going, although no USB power plug so keep that in mind. Overall a perfect device and fixes my issue. If you are in a similar situation, this is the device for you. Please note, my projector is HD only so I have no idea if 3D or 4K work.

I bought this as the audio jack wouldn't work on my TV. Works brilliantly! Just add between your device (you will need another HDMI lead) and the TV input, utilise the audio jack on the device and bingo! You are able to turn down the TV sound and listen through headphones. I added a blue tooth transmittor to the audio jack and works brilliantly with my blue tooth headphones. Excellent product!!

Picture and sound quality is good,lost one star because delivery was one day late.

I have a Sonos playbase which only had an optical port for the sound input. For some reason my TV had a problem with its port and I did not want just give up my Sonos especially when it’s worth over £600 when I got it. Looked around and saw this on YouTube. I ordered and installed easily. I have had this months now and had no issues. Picture & sound are on point.

It worked perfectly for a few months then the power started going on and off intermittently. Tried different cables and power sources and still the same issue, until eventually the actual micro USB port in the device broke and now rattles inside of it. Returned - my advise would be to BUY ONE THAT USES A STANDARD POWER ADAPTER (E.G. ROUND END 12V) RATHER THAN ONE THAT USES MICRO USB.

Good audio but poor thru-video output. The screen frequently has an interference flicker that doesn’t exist If we send video directly and don’t use the unit. Even without the flicker, there is slight, but noticeable, degradation in video quality. As a reult, we have stopped using this item.

After purchasing a Blue Ray DVD player to pair up with my new computer HD monitor, I realised that I had no sound output either from the DVD player or the monitor. This is where the splitter steps in and does its magic. It has worked perfectly so far. It is nicely made, solid with a brushed metal finish, is easy to use and does not require additional current in my own configuration. I would highly recommend this product.

It works well for extracting the audio but isn’t suitable for PlayStation users as the box itself is restricted to HDCP1.4, which means it wont allow 4K video to pass through. Shame otherwise works well.

I recently received the 4K x 2K HDMI Audio Extractor and it exceeded my expectations. The HDMI to HDMI audio converter adapter worked seamlessly and allowed me to extract audio from my HDMI source to my soundbar. The audio quality was excellent and the picture quality remained clear and crisp in 4K resolution. The compact design of the extractor was also a plus and made it easy to set up and use.
