Unit is made of plastic. Image isn't all that clear, but it works. I use it for hooking up to my trailer.The last one had a better image. Be sure to seal the around the hole were the cable goes into the camera with hot glue.Not 100% water proof

Awesome camera for the price. Very clear picture and easy install. Would recommend 100%. The color image is very nice and I can still see cars at night with just my tail lights lighting up the street.
