Very important to keep this in mind for Computer and gaming console connection to this system. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent sound and features *by J***N on July 4, 2026* This receiver replaces an upper mid-level Denon that turns out to have audible distortion at low audio levels (a design that was intended to reduce power consumption slightly - a minor factor that was poorly executed). This Onkyo receiver has inaudible distortion at low levels, such as the fade out of a piano note, even with my efficient Klipsch speakers. I'm very happy with the sound quality and features! The receiver is compatible with my Roku Ultra and Samsung QN90B television through the HDMI Multimedia Interface, permitting power and volument control from the Roku remote. Full 4K video is supported. The only caution is the receiver can get quite hot at high audio power levels, so air circulation around the receiver is a must. It should not be placed on a shelf without several inches of clearance on all sides. I tend to run movies at cinema SPL level so I installed a variable speed muffin fan ($14) in the back of the credenza, is nearly silent but keeps air moving (taking a small amount of power from the Onkyo's USB port, which shuts off with the receiver's main power). The receiver has overheating protection, but excessive heat will shorten the life of any electronics.
