Big improvement from the old shanks.
The T shank saws are a real upgrade from the U shanks of the older saws that no one seems to make any more. No more fumbling with Allen wrenches and screwdrivers to attach a new blade. Twist and lock. Powerful and quick. Although it seems to sometimes slow down or speed up on its own. I think there isn't enough tension on the speed selector wheel and it vibrates to a different speed setting. Decent saw for the price, and cuts well.

Good product with one caveat
I am remodeling my kitchen and my old saw wouldn’t do the trick. I cannot believe how fast it cuts with accuracy. The quick change blades save me a lot of time in trouble. This is a combination of low price and high-quality. I only wish that it had the ability to attach my vacuum to it. It has a fan that blows dust from the line that I’m cutting. Unfortunately it blows dust into my eyes.

Defective saw
This item has a mechanical defect and should have not been sold. Perhaps testing a used item before selling it again is needed here. The blade holder does not turn but remains at a 45 degree angle so that the gig saw does not cut forward.

I like the tool very much. Easy to change blades. Multiple settings. Very light to hold. This was bought for home use only.

Bought this to replace my existing saw which had a plastic plate that broke. I was happy to find one with a metal plate, so think this one might be more durable. So far it's working just fine.
