Infinity KAPPA683XF 6" x 8" (147mm x 205mm) Two-Way Car Speaker

I installed these in an Expedition. Quick and easy install process. The vehicle speaker leads are secured via phillips head screw clamp, instead of the more common 1/4" spade fitting. I highly recommend the little Ford harness plug adapters they sell here on Amazon, so your not cutting the vehicle's speaker plug off. You have to clip off the little ear extrusions that are around the speaker's 6x8 border on most Ford installations. The speakers sound great. Be careful with the plug pins when you re-install the speaker to vehicle plug. They're tiny and can easily be pushed out, and lose electrical connection, and end up with a dead, or intermittent speaker. I did have Fosgate speakers in the Expy, but these sound a bit better. At least to my untrained ear.

They produce so much sound, they just scream at you with an amp attached with them. Good bass for such a small speaker. But if you can, get the component equivalents instead. Even though these speaker have a pivot tweeter to aim right at you, it will not be as good as component speakers. Just a warning. You also can’t attached a mid-speaker with these speakers. Only with the component speakers can you connect a mid range speaker properly. Just a tip. Other wise for the price, I got them for $119, can’t beat it.

This is such a good speaker I had 2 6x8 kickers speakers and moved to these speakers because they would be better for my sound system including 2 12inch subs if you have a single cab truck I would highly suggest you get these if you want a nice loud and clean speaker.

The sound is amazing.....replacing factory speakers with these are the way to go.....the key is the great highs and the 100 watt rms is key......you can play load music constantly with factory radio.....will improve factory radio in other words bring to life .....very happy !

I had previously installed infinity reference speaker but after a couple of years I ran across the Kappas 683xf on Amazon for a great price they blow the doors off reference great Highs and booming low really glad I made the switch!

Way better build quality and clarity than any other speaker ive bought. Sound is awesome amplified and will handle well over 100 watts rms

Had to modify wire harness to be able to hook wires to speaker.

I had Rockford Fosgate "Punch" 6x8's with a Rockford 4-chan 400w amp. I kept the ammo and upgraded to these speakers. WOW! What an amazing difference. These make the Rockford's sound like factory junk. I'm doing another set of 4 and upgrading my stock Super duty speakers next!
