Purrfect for small cat bowls!!! 😻
The media could not be loaded. This is one suction cup and fits in a small glass cat bowl (from petco) perfectly. The suction cup does not come undone, I have to get my finger nail under the edge to pull it up so it is very secure. It is very easy to wash. I ended up trimming the arms for a custom fit. This is the only one that fits in a small bowl. The others had several suction cups on the bottom and were just a pinch too big to sit flat in the bowl. Besides, I can imagine how hard they will be to clean with all those extra crevices, this one is super easy to clean. The suction cup works even if the bowl is still damp after washing. It also sticks to my steel bowls just fine, I don’t have any ceramic bowls to try it on but I imagine as long as there is a flat spot on the bottom it will stick. This is perfect to slow my cat Cheeto down. He can eat that entire bowl of food in two minutes, sometimes less. I put the glass bowl inside the steel bowl in the small/tall cat neater feeder. I feed my cats freeze dried raw food so it’s important to sterilize the dishes and I feel glass is the best. The neater feeder is required because my cat makes a mess, also this one is the taller version so he’s not bending down and choking. One of the pictures shows how it worked without the edits I made later (just before Cheeto licking his face). It fit, and each of the arms would curl around as they are pretty flexible, but it ended up being way too frustrating for my cat to get in between each arm to eat.It was very easy to trim, and I ended up cutting two of the arms off completely, even though in my pictures it shows a little bit sticking out. I kept making changes - see last photo for final result. I trimmed the 4 arms just enough so I can position them against the sides of the bowl providing 4 sections. Trim very little at a time, I went too fast and wish I had a millimeter more on each arm. But it still works great.Extra cat photos because I had to make up for the lack of kitty cat photos on this dog product. LOL!

Does help slow down fast eaters
Definitely does create an obstacle for your dog to have to eat around but due to its soft silicone nature it is easy for them to bend out of the way and push around. The suction wasn’t great, so I find this insert around the house at times since my dog likes to think it’s a new toy when she’s bored 😂We still use it since it slows her down a little bit might look for something a little sturdier in the future

Would be good but easy to destroy
Good concept but not great. Suction doesn’t work well. Easy to destroy. Good size. Easy to clean. Not as durable as other food separators.

Great insert for existing bowls, even small ones!
We have a four month old Havanese puppy who loves his food so much that he would eat it all in 60 seconds! I started shopping for a bowl that would help slow him down but I didn’t like the plastic puzzle bowls that I found. I wanted to keep the pretty bowl that matched the set and matched my house. When I found this insert, I was skeptical that it would fit in a small bowl less than 5 inches in diameter. But this insert worked well. It slowed down our puppy and fits in the bowl perfectly. The “wings“ on the insert are flexible and will curve to allow it to fit in a small bowl. I was worried that the suction would not hold after reading some of the other reviews. But if you follow the directions and rinse the insert and then press it in your bowl while still wet, the suction is very strong. When I first put it in his bowl, our puppy barked at it for a few minutes. He would get close and then jump back. After a while his hunger took over and he started eating. This is a great purchase if you want to keep your pretty bowls while still slowing down your puppy.

Cannot keep the bottom Suction clean - MOLD
I have had this for a few months but I had to stop using it because the bottom suction piece would not get clean and began growing mold. There are better quality alternatives that I have since ordered.

Slow feeding device
This product slowed my puppy’s feeding dramatically. It is durable and easy to install. It can also be used in a variety of dish sizes.

Does not suction well and gets moldy even with regular cleaning!
Have this for over a year and, frankly, we didn't use it often even though we tried! The suction wasn't very strong so our dog ended pulling it off anyway which defeated the purpose. We noticed it got very moldy along the bottom even with regularly cleaning (hand washing AND top rack dishwasher). Super disappointing overall.

Works pretty well
Does exactly what it claims to do: it slowed down our dogs ability to eat his food. He went from cleaning his bowl in less than 30 seconds to well over a minute(yes, we timed it). He's an older dog and eating as fast as he did would cause him to throw it up an hour later. So far, since we've been using it, he hasn't thrown up.Easy to clean and it doesn't budge the whole time he's eating. Used it for a week to test t and so far it holds up
