Actual wireless data throughput and wireless coverage per ft² will vary as a result of network conditions, client limitations, and environmental factors. Wi-Fi 6 comes with it all: faster speeds, lower latency, and more connections. It also features 25% faster data throughput compared with last-gen Wi-Fi thanks to 1024-QAM. With this speed boost, experience high-speed and stable Wi-Fi throughout your rooms. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access helps integrate the data of different end devices for higher efficiency. Find the direction of your phone or laptop, and accelerate your signal strength. Note: The product may not be compatible with routers or gateways with firmware that has been altered, is based on open source programs, or is non-standard or outdated. Keeps your network running at top speed by automatically choosing the fastest connection path to the router. RE500X is more than a wireless range extender. Simply plug an Ethernet cable into its Ethernet port, and easily turn your wired internet connection into a 2×2 MIMO dual band wireless access point. Stop searching around for full bars. OneMesh is a simple way to form a Mesh network with a single Wi-Fi name for seamless whole-home coverage. Just connect RE500X to an OneMesh router. Keep your internet focused on a single room or blanket an entire floor with Wi-Fi by picking between 3 strength levels on the Tether app. Set up and manage your Wi-Fi through the TP-Link Tether app from your phone (Android, iOS), including TP-Link routers and range extenders. Enjoy 4K streaming and gaming in whatever room you’re in thanks to RE700X’s 4 high-performance amplifiers. Whether you’re sharing a pad with friends or living in your forever home, RE500X sends out strong signals to those hard-to-cover areas. Why is my internet speed much slower when connected through the range extender? Range extenders wirelessly repeat your router’s signal and should be placed about halfway from it. They operate in half-duplex mode, meaning slower speeds since they can't send and receive data at the same time, unlike wired connections. My extender connection keeps dropping or is unstable. What can I do? Unstable connections may occur due to distance, thick walls, interference (e.g. microwaves, metal, cordless phones), or outdated firmware. Move the extender closer, avoid interference, and update firmware via Tether app or web interface. What is AP mode and how is it different from extender mode? AP mode connects to your router via Ethernet and creates a Wi-Fi signal—ideal for faster, stable performance if you have a cable available. Extender mode wirelessly repeats your router’s signal but may reduce speed due to half-duplex operation. Can I install multiple extenders in a large home? You can connect multiple extenders, but we recommend a max of two and direct connections to the router (no daisy-chaining). Use different Wi-Fi channels to reduce interference. For better coverage, consider a Deco Mesh system with seamless roaming. My extender doesn’t work well with Vodafone or SKY routers. Why? This isn’t a compatibility issue. Some Vodafone/SKY routers send special WPS signals, making the extender create a long random password. Reset the extender, avoid WPS, and set up manually via Tether or web using the correct Wi-Fi password. ## Features - Faster Wi-Fi 6 Speed – Wi-Fi extender turbocharge your devices with wireless speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps, greater capacity, and reduced network congestion - Wi-Fi Booster Adaptive Path Selection- Keep your network running at top-speed by automatically choosing the fastest connection path to the router - Save Clients’ Battery Power- Wi-Fi extender booster Target Wake Time schedules the connection time of battery-powered devices to reduce their power consumption - TP-Link OneMeshTM -Creates a Mesh network by connecting to a OneMesh router for seamless whole-home coverage, easily manage with TP-Link Tether APP - Ultra-Low Latency - Take advantage of ultra-low latency to enjoy smoother online experience, with 3 years manufactory warranty. .System Requirements:Microsoft Windows 98SE, NT, 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, MAC OS, NetWare, UNIX or Linux Internet Explorer 11, Firefox 12.0, Chrome 20.0, Safari 4.0, or other Java-enabled browser - EasyMesh Compatible -Flexibly creates a Mesh network by connecting to an EasyMesh-compatible router for seamless whole-home coverage ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B0916JDNWY | | Best Sellers Rank | 3,261 in Computers & Accessories (See Top 100 in Computers & Accessories) 27 in Network Repeaters | | Box Contents | [Partial] 1 Gigabit Ethernet Ports | | Brand Name | TP-Link | | Colour | White | | Compatible Devices | Router | | Connector Type | UK Plug | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars (482) 4.0 out of 5 stars | | Data Transfer Rate | 1.5 Gigabits Per Second | | Frequency Band Class | Dual-Band | | Frequency Bands Supported | 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz | | Item Dimensions D X W X H | 12.4D x 12.4W x 12.7H centimetres | | Item Highlight | Gigabit Port, OneMesh Compatible, Access Point, Works with Any WiFi Router, App Control Easy Setup, Signal Indicator, UK Plug | | Item Weight | 360 Grams | | Manufacturer | TP-Link | | Manufacturer Part Number | RE500X | | Model Number | RE500X | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Number Of Packs | 1 | | Product Warranty | 3 Years | | Range | 50 meters | | Special Features | Access Point Mode | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Wireless Compability | 5 GHz Radio Frequency | ## Product Details - **Brand:** TP-Link - **Data transfer rate:** 1.5 Gigabits Per Second - **Frequency band class:** Dual-Band - **Special feature:** Access Point Mode - **Wireless communication standard:** 5 GHz Radio Frequency ## Images ![TP-Link RE500X AX1500 WiFi 6 WiFi Extender Booster WiFi Booster - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71CgufEEYeL.jpg) ![TP-Link RE500X AX1500 WiFi 6 WiFi Extender Booster WiFi Booster - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41ytKlogIxL.jpg) ![TP-Link RE500X AX1500 WiFi 6 WiFi Extender Booster WiFi Booster - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31it5Ks4HEL.jpg) ![TP-Link RE500X AX1500 WiFi 6 WiFi Extender Booster WiFi Booster - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/415zNEPKXxL.jpg) ![TP-Link RE500X AX1500 WiFi 6 WiFi Extender Booster WiFi Booster - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51KnH3YtmiL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style Name** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Why is my internet speed much slower when connected through the range extender?** A: Range extenders wirelessly repeat your router’s signal and should be placed about halfway from it. Previously it sat in a cupboard where I had wired up various rooms in the house with ethernet cable, so I had a central location for both WiFi and wired ethernet. There was no way to replicate this so I had to try and connect the router to this wired network in some other way - and of course the new router was in the one room that was not wired up!I initially tried a pair of 1GBit ethernet over the mains adaptors, but only got about 80Mbps with these (I am on 500Mbps broadband) so that was not good enoughThis P-Link AX1500 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 Range Extender was definitely Plan B. I initially plugged the adaptor in close to the router and (having read the manual) connected twice using the WPS feature - I needed to connect twice to ensure it used use both the 2.4 & 5GHz bands. This took about about 5 minutes. I then unplugged the adaptor and moved it to the new location, and connected it's ethernet port to the network switch in the cupboard. Back on my desktop I checked the internet speed which was the 500Mbps I have.So my desktop internet connection is:wired: desktop to network switchwired: network switch to TP Link Range extenderWIFI: TP Link Range extender to router. This gives me a 500Mpbs connection to the internet. The range extender claims 1Gbps but I'll have to connect another computer direct to the router (with an ethernet cable) and then copy a big file to see if it can deliver the 1GbpsNote that I have not used the WIFI extender feature as the standard WIFI signal is fine for everyone in the house as isAlthough its only been in use for about a month its been faultless so far, so really pleased. Got it at a reduced Black Friday price as well so even better ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Wi-Fi 6 booster *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 4 January 2023* Haven’t found a bad TP-Link product yet.Recently switched to full fiver broadband at 900mbps and was disappointed to find I was only getting about 100mbps through Wi-Fi.I bought a Wi-Fi 6 router to combat this, but it turns out that Wi-Fi 6 isn’t very good at penetrating walls and ceilings.Got this little fella to give me a more stable connection in my living room. It was easy to set up and works great. TP-Link have a great app that makes it all very easy to sort.Speed is much better, now getting between 150 - 200 mbps. I’ll probably eventually switch to a mesh. But for now it’s very stable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great WiFi Extender *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 20 May 2026* I am very happy with this wifi extender - it gives us 2 options and easily supports gaming, working and streaming. Easy to setup / straight from the box - good signal strength. Very glad I bought it. ## Frequently Bought Together - TP-Link RE500X WiFi 6 AX1500Mbps, WiFi Extender Booster, Internet Booster, Gigabit Ethernet Port, WiFi Booster Range Extender, EasyMesh, Access Point, WiFi Repeater, App Control Easy Setup, UK Plug - Ercielook CAT8 Ethernet Cable 0,5m 1m 2m 3m 5m- High Speed Shielded Flat Internet Cable, Weatherproof S/FTP UV Resistant for Router/Gaming/Modem - 0.5m (White) - TP-Link TL-SG105S, 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Switch, Ethernet Splitter, Hub, Desktop and Wall-Mounting, Sturdy Metal, Fanless, Plug and Play, Energy-Saving --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/342223460-tp-link-re500x-ax1500-wifi-6-wifi-extender-booster-wifi](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/342223460-tp-link-re500x-ax1500-wifi-6-wifi-extender-booster-wifi) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
