New Star Foodservice 35780 12-Inch Utility Spring Tongs, Stainless Steel, Vinyl Coated, Set of 12, Yellow

I'm very pleased with these tongs. I don't like the ones with silicone on the grabby part, and I can't stand the ones that are always getting stuck in lock mode. I wanted some like this and was having trouble finding them, and here they are.I got them for handling large cuts of meat and they are perfect for that. They require a bit of press to push them together, so if you have weak hands, maybe. not for you. Since I got a set of 12, I passed several of them off to my friend who grills and his two grown sons. They love them.These are meant for food service, which means they are sturdy and strong, but not overly pretty. But then, tongs are never really pretty. If you want them for a fancy kitchen look, they might not be the thing, but for functionality, they're just right. These 12 inch ones might be a bit much for pastries, but they would be great for using in a food truck, for cooking, for grilling, for grabbing a large quantity of pasta or veggies, etc.Recommended.

Tongs are a simple device, but they are undervalued in the kitchen or grill. These are a lot nicer than the plastic or even chinsy steel from many grill kits or starter kitchen cookware. Granted, with "foodservice" in the description, one should assume theyre better than the normal household pair. What I like about these is they're no-fluff - just stainless with a dip in coating for the handle. They're a good weight and size, and they clasp together solidly.

Good price for the quantity. They are sturdy and the opening is good. I bought these to have for parties. Chip grabbers. Salad tongs. Etc. The problem is the yellow coating is quite thin and ends up looking dirty. You can see it in the pics. Some of the dirty marks came off with a magic eraser.Not sure I'd want to display them. I thought they'd be a fun bright yellow like the pics. Did I get a bad batch or are they all like this? Also has a tag warning for CA customers that this product can expose you to chemicals which are known to cause cancer. Huh? Cancer only in California? I'm a bit concerned.

I got a 12-pack of these tongs. These are a great value for the money, and they seem sturdy and springy and snappy without any quality issues. The rubber part is soft on your hands, and the metal tines meet in the middle and are grabby but manage food items well. The 12 pack was great, but too bad they did not mix up the colors. Five Stars!!!

Definitely sturdy metal tongs with a yellow grip. BUT, these tongs must be somebody's old new stock that got tossed around the warehouse. There's lots of dark smudges on the lot of tongs. Only 1 or 2 are without smudges. Not one tong is as bright as the listing picture. Unfortunately, I would not recommend to anyone, but I'll certainly use around my own kitchen or outside grill.

These tongs are not what I expected. They are not the greatest quality in my opinion, and the metal on the tongs seem to be a bit thin to what I am used to. They are functional and will work, but I wish there were a little more give and flexibility in the spring action of the tongs.The plastic handle does not feel smooth. Overall these tongs are rough, but still easy to use. The length is fine and they are easily cleaned, but not what I was expecting.

A 12 pack of tongs for less than $40? Yes please! I’m perpetually looking for the tongs because somehow my husband displaces them. Now I’ll always have some backups! Plus, the yellow handles make them easy to identify, so the likelihood of them getting lost is significantly lowered. These tongs are pretty sturdy and can handle turning meat on a grill just as easily as serving a salad. For the price these are a solid purchase!!
