Great product
Sizing is accurate. My mother broke a couple toes and this was a game changer. She is much more mobile than what she was trying to use before. Felt sturdy and like it will stand up over time. A little bit of a learning curve to properly put it on but comes with clear instructions.

Comfortable, well made
Very happy with the product so far. I suffer from chronic Achilles tendonosis and wear a night splint which helps tremendously but can’t walk in it, hence the reason for this purchase. I’m hoping that this brace will help immobilize the ankle somewhat and keep it flexed so that it can heal. The brace appears well made and is very padded and comfortable. I am 5’ 4” and 190lbs so a little chunky but not super big in the leg area. Fits my calf area fine. I wear an 9 to 9 1/2 W in shoes depending on brand and the boot is good width wise and it leaves me at least an inch in length past the toes and my toes are not visible when sock wrap is closed. I probably could have went with a small sz boot and been fine. I have no swelling with my particular issue so there is plenty of room in the boot but not excessively so. It came with 3 very soft pads that can be placed wherever needed to customize comfort. The air bladder functions adequately to help adjust fit. It is comfortable to walk in but will take getting used to as it will change your gait. I can really feel it on outside upper thigh/hip area. Difficult to tell how much immobilization of the ankle there is as far as flexion up and down but I think it’s helping. This would be great for sprained ankle as side to side stabilization is very good.Amendment - have had the boot for a while now and it is so comfy. I can walk well in it. I wear it strictly around the house and it helps keep my foot flexed and tendon stretched which prevents the pain from setting in. Holding up well. I would recommend wearing a shoe with a thicker sole on opposite foot to help balance you out but it’s not much of an issue. I would purchase this product again if needed.Update- had the boot for over three months now and have started wearing it at night instead of my regular night splint because it gives better stabilization (my foot doesn’t slip out) and is more comfortable. I thought the bulk of the boot would be an issue but it hasn’t bothered me. Will definitely buy again when it wears out.

Squeaky
Everyone will know I am coming up the hallway because that’s how loudly the boot squeaks when I walk. I make my presence known wherever I go and heads turn my way. Otherwise it’s comfortable. Perhaps I got a defective boot as I don’t see any reviews here mentioning the noise.

Valuable recovery tool after bunion surgery
Wow. This boot was a game changer. Bunion surgery was one of the most excruciating things I've ever done. You aren't supposed to walk bearing any weight on foot or forefoot (heel bearing only) for 2-8 weeks. For the first month, I was too scared to try this boot because I was so swollen and in so much pain. Mistake. I should have used this sooner, it make walking easy! Like, walking on a cloud, totally dispersing my weight, while rocking foot forward- unlike stiff flat post op shoe. 10/10 recommend

Roomy enough for hardware
First, positives:If you need space for hardware (pins, specialized braces, etc) or have swollen extremities, then this heavy-duty brace should accommodate.I mean really heavy-duty. It weighs a lot more than I expected, but it’s equally sturdier than I expected. It seems well made and able to offer excellent protection but with reduced flexibility.Negatives:If you just need stabilization, this may be way too wide and shift around on your foot and ankle if you don’t insert more padding than it comes with (or maybe even then) or pull the Velcro straps super tight (which isn’t a great idea with injuries). The middle Velcro strap hurt against an injured ankle, but the way it closed right over the empty spot in the foot sleeve meant it might have been uncomfortable anyway.Neutral:The foot sleeve is large. If you’re looking for one that covers your foot almost like a boot, this is the one for you. It should keep you reasonably warm in cold weather (although it does have an open toe and an opening on the ankle), but it may be uncomfortable in warmer weather.

Get it it works great.
I broke my toe and did not like the shoe but this walking boot works great. Should have ordered it right from the start. Walking with this is so much easier and feels great. Buy it.O

Better than the Doc
I fractured my 1st metatarsal back in October. Had surgery to reset it. Prior to surgery Urgent care gave me a boot that was a decent fit at the time due to significant swelling. I’m now5 weeks post surgery with minimal swelling so the original boot is loose, larger and clunky. I inquired about a smaller size with the Doc since I have to stay in the boot for 6 more weeks And I’ve got some plane travel coming up. The doc suggested Amazon since it would cost more for a replacement even with insurance. Ordered the size small and it arrived ahead of schedule just in time for my NYC trip.Buy this boot for any foot stabilizing needs. Perfect fit, less clunky and fraction of cost from doc office. For reference I’m a woman’s size 8 - ordered a size small.
