Watch Back Cover Opener Tool Case Can Opener Pry Bar Repair Tools Black

My watch has a very narrow slot provided to remove the back cover, and I was having to struggle with jewelers screwdrivers to get it open when batteries needed changing. This well-made tool provides the perfect mechanical advantage to overcome the pressure required to pop the cover without taking multiple attempts and stabbing yourself in the process.As received, the tip was slightly too thick to fit into the space between the cover and the watch base. I carefully filed and then sanded the tip of the tool into a sharper edge, and it now works perfectly. I made sure not to take any more metal away than necessary, as this is not a hardened tool, being most likely carbon steel with a black oxide coating. Very nice tool.

I took it upon myself to embark on a bit of a project that I thought would be exciting, changing the battery in my watch. Of course everyone told me to just take it to a jeweler but I thought I was up for the challenge and was certain I just needed the right tools for the job. I was fairly confident this would work, it seemed decently made and I really don't see any fault in this tool. Unfortunately it seems my watch is the stubborn sort because I tried for days to pry it open, no matter how hard and how many times I try I can't get it to budge. I keep trying in vain, may have to just give up, I also scratched the hell out of it. Needless to say this challenge doesn't seem quite as exciting anymore. I suppose this could work and I don't see any reason why it wouldn't, but I think I've just about given up.

Opened my wristwatch case easily after struggling with a knife for twenty minutes, how could one go wrong for $3.00? I gave up on the knife attempt being afraid I would slip and cut myself.Less expensive than bringing your watch to a jeweler plus the time you save doing the battery change at home.Took a lot less time to get the tool than stated , they under promised the delivery unlike other sellers who over promise and miss the date.

I was able to pry open all my other watch to change their batteries with another device. But when it came down to my favorite watch it seemed like nothing could get it opened. So I brought this device really didn't think much of it, but to my surprise it did the trick pop open the back plate of the watch (which was all scratched up from everyother tool I used on it) and I changed the battery in a matter of minutes.

I should have ordered this sooner because for years I've been changing batteries in my watches and scratching up the back trying to pry it open. This just pops the back right off. Sometimes I wonder about myself -- why didn't I get this sooner? So it goes.

works great, so much easier than using a small screwdriver or something else to remove a watch back. The way it's made fits just in the notch on the watch and quickly pops the back cover off.

I'm not a specialist, but this works leaps and bounds better than trying to use a cheap case knife or screwdriver. Mission accomplished.
